Alec knew that Geri would come, he knew her temper and that staying at the Academy and doing nothing wasn’t what she would do. He’d told Damon and Zoe he’d stay safe, that he’d give her no reason to bring him harm. He doubted fresh reasons were needed beyond that he had harbored Zoe, and would do so again if needed. He’d made his dislike of the woman known many times over the years. So he was certain he would be on her hit list this time. So he didn’t say upstairs. He worked down in the restaurant and made sure he was the last one there. He didn’t want any patrons or staff harmed when Geri arrived. He’d locked everything and taken a chair from inside and set it on the sidewalk and put on his jacket taking a seat to wait. He’d been sitting there since the restaurant closed over an hour ago. Mostly just messing around on his phone to pass the time. He was actually starting to think his luck was actually going to be in his favor that night and she’d not show up. As he stood up to take the chair back inside he heard a screech of tires and looked seeing headlights coming barreling down main street. In the distance he could hear sirens, police and fire and he wondered where they were headed. But mostly he kept his eyes on the car having to duck into the small alcove of his restaurant to avoid getting hit as it jumped to the curb. He stared at the car not having to guess who was inside as he came to a halt. He saw the red hair easily even before Geri stepped out of the vehicle.

“I expected you much sooner. Let me just make this easier for you, cagna. They aren’t here. You cannot and will not lay a hand to my niece. Damon has finally seen you for the puttana psicopatica that you are. And you will never have him back after what you did. You lying piece of Australian garbage. So go ahead, threaten me even hurt me I don’t rightly give a damn. Because today you got the justice you deserve for the wrongs you have committed again my friends.”, Alec said glaring at Geri. “How nice of you to have waited up for me Alec. I am really sick of you Alec and how you dare to speak to me. I will find Damon and his bastard child and I will kill her. And there’s nothing that a pathetic meatsack such as yourself is going to be able to do about it.”, Geri said closing in having Alec cornered. She grabbed him by the throat starting to choke him. Alec gasped for breath, Geri didn’t realize there was something he could do. He’d had Captain Azriel Delaney on speaker phone while he’d waited for Geri. Azriel had stayed on the line this basically being a setup to get one of Azazel’s Acolytes in custody. Alec smiled a little knowing that this was all being heard and smiled even more as Azriel called out over the speaker of his phone. “Police are on their way Alec!”, Azriel yelled. Geri glared looking from Alec’s smiling but slightly purple face to the cell phone in his hand. “You fucking bastard!”, Geri screamed. Alec typically isn’t one for hitting women but he made an exception bringing a knee up between him and Geri to hit her in the stomach. Geri let him go stumbling back a little glaring at him. She held out her right hand a large fireball starting to form. But instead of throwing it at him she threw it through his front window setting the front part of his restaurant a blaze. She could hear the sirens getting closer and quickly got to her car. Alec had been useful in telling her where the girl was. The only place she could think of where he’d figure she couldn’t get her hands on her would be the Haven. But tonight she didn’t care about starting a fight with them. All she wanted was that girl dead. “Vai a farti fottere, Go fuck yourself!”, Alec yelled as she pulled away. he looked with a frown at his restaurant, the sprinkler system having kicked in dousing the flames. But the damage was done. And now Geri was gone.

The haven was dark everyone having turned in for the night. Zoe had tried using the Haven house phone to call her mother, but she got no answer or the machine which mean her mother was on the phone. Though she hadn’t been able to really think who’d her mother would be talking to so late and for so long. But Zoe had given up trying and was heading back up to her room when she heard the squealing of tires outside. She went to go peek out the front windows but found she wasn’t able to move. She looked all around trying to figure out what had her and then saw David coming out from a hall near the study rubbing his eyes. “No.”, David said simply. “No what? Wait you are holding me in place? But how?”, Zoe questioned. Solangel walked out from behind her grumbling her hair basically an afro from sleeping. “Metal bend little cannoli, you have metal naturally in your blood he can control it.”, Solangel explained in a yawn. Kim looked down from her third floor window and saw it was geri, recognizing the car even in the dark. She rushed down the stairs past the bedrooms to her sons. Both who were asleep, or at least she assumed, in their bedrooms. She came down the stairs to see Zoe and then Solangel and David. “Zoe, you should head upstairs. It’s Geri.”, Kim said. David released his hold and nodded. “Go upstairs please Zoe. We can handle Geri.”, David requested. Zoe looked from the three adults around her wanting to protest, wanting to face this woman who was responsible for her grandfather's death and her mother's injury. But these people at least knew the woman, knew what she was capable of and probably had a better plan of dealing with her. Her shoulders sank but she nodded and headed up to her room. She didn’t want to wake Merrick or Sebastian so she tried to stay quiet. She’d had to force herself to not look out the window knowing she couldn’t trust herself to not just turn the woman to stone.

“I WANT MY HUSBAND! AND I WANT HIS BASTARD NOW! SEND THEM OUT OR I COME IN!”, Geri screamed. Sebastian could sleep through anything but Merrick had sensitive hearing. He grumbled holding his pillows to his ears to drown out Geri. “I MEAN IT! I WANT THEM NOW!!!!”, Geri continued to shout. Aislinn and Jacob walked out of their bedrooms half asleep, Morpheus swooping onto Aislinn’s shoulder. “You two just stay inside. We will deal with Geri.”, David said looking to his wife and Jacob. he wasn’t going to let his wife come to any harm and Jacob had zero defense against Geri. So instead he, Kim and Solangel walked out the front door. Solangel closing the door behind them. “Rather late for a social call Geri. Your husband isn’t here. And you keep yelling about a bastard but I don’t know who that is. I’ve go no one named Bastard here.”, David said with a smirk. Geri glared her body starting to glow with her radiation. “YOU ARE LYING! I WANT MY HUSBAND AND I WANT THAT BASTARD DAUGHTER HE HAD WITH THAT ITALIAN WHORE!”, Geri shouted. Zoe covered her ears up in her room trying to drown it out to not listen. She didn’t care about being called a bastard, after all her parents weren’t married. But she didn’t like hearing someone speak in such a way about her mother. From what she was able to understand her parents loved each other, before Geri manipulated her father. “Seriously you should stop yelling and cursing because that would be great. We have children inside that are trying to sleep. And speaking as the mother of two of them I don’t need, especially my younger boy, to hear such language.”, Kim said.

“I WILL STOP YELLING AND CURSING YOU TREACHEROUS FUCKING WHORE WHEN YOU GIVE ME MY HUSBAND AND HIS BASTARD CHILD!”, Geri shouted glaring at him. Merrick had about enough of that when his mother was being called named. he rolled out of his bed pulling on a pair of shorts and starting out of his room ready to rip Geri to shreds for speaking that way to his mother. But he stopped. Under the screaming he could hear soft murmurs. Inside her room Zoe was trying to drown out the sound of Geri’s high voice by singing to herself. Merrick sighed and reeled in his own anger realizing someone else was more directly affected in this situation and the words Geri was shouting outside. He knocked on the door, not thinking for a second about that he was only wearing a pair of shorts or that in the light of the hallway the bite mark left going on three years ago by Rose was being highlighted. Zoe paused her signing bring her hands down seeing a shadow under the bottom of her door more than she’d heard the knock. She glanced to the window for a moment still hearing the exchange of words between the adults. “You do not get to come here and talk like that to my cousin or anyone else living here. And you sure don’t get to come here and make demands for us to give you someone.”, David spoke sternly. Zoe climbed off her bed, wearing the pajamas she’d brought with her of a black tank top and a pair of dark blue cotton pants. She pulled back the door and blinked looking up at Merrick. She could see why he had a list of lovers. “Um Merrick?”, Zoe questioned. “You alright Zoe?”, Merrick questioned. Zoe arched an eyebrow, he was checking on her. “Um yeah, I’m fine.”, Zoe said trying to play it off. Merrick nodded reaching up stretching a little holding the top of the door jam. “If you say so. Figured someone should check on you.”, Merrick explained himself . “Yeah I’ll be alright. Just, you know not used to this.”, Zoe said. Merrick nodded bringing his arms down. “So what were you singing?”, Merrick asked hoping to give distract her from the raised voices outside.

And you know that I’m not going to hand that kid over to you. So you should leave before you start something you can’t finish. Because I highly doubt that Azazel would like you coming here and starting a war he’s not looking for.”, David warned calm as he folded his arms. “The song? Wait you heard that?”, Zoe questioned. Merrick smiled letting his canines extend a little before going back to normal. Zoe blinked for a second. “I am an animal shifter. As such I have heightened senses. I can hear even the lowest to more high pitched sounds. I can see in the dark and a great distance. I have an excellent palate though I don’t eat meat. And as for my sense of smell I can tell that not but maybe a few hours before your dad brought you here you had drank a glass of…”, he sniffed the air. “Grasso Ripiddu Etna Rosso?”, Merrick said having smelled the wine before when at a liquor store with Leslie. Zoe blinked when he knew what wine she’d drank. Sure his pronunciation wasn’t the best but for an American he didn’t bruise it entirely. “Yes that’s right. How could you tell that from just the smell? I didn’t really take you to be a wine drinker.”, Zoe questioned. Merrick smirked. “I’m not a wine drinker. An ex was. I remember the smell because it’s got a spice and dark berry intermingled with hints of oak. Now the song. What were you signing?”, Merrick asked still trying to keep her distracted as best he could. Granted he could easily think of another way of distraction, but given she is a Petridis and no matter how well his brother hid it he knew that Sebastian was dating Gina Petridis so those distraction options were off the table.

“AZAZEL MAY NOT WANT WAR, AND I DON’T FUCKING CARE. HE DOESN’T BACK ME ANYMORE! Zoe’s attention went to turn to the window again hearing the shouting. Merrick reached out lightly grabbing her jaw so she had to keep looking at him. “The song hellraiser. Zoe gulped a little being put on the spot. She knew why he was doing this, so she wouldn’t think about what was happening outside and for that a small smile spread on her lips. Zoe tried to turn her head to hear what was going on but found looking away impossible even if he hadn’t been keeping her face still. She smiled a little still transfixed by his odd colored eyes as he complimented her voice. “Thank you. My mother was a singer before her injury and apparently so was, perhaps still, is my father.”, Zoe commented. Merrick nodded. “I’ve heard him sing long ago when Gina was a baby, it was soothing. Now the translation please.”, Merrick requested. Geri shouted, “FIVE” and moved to shoot her fireballs but to her surprise everything had changed. Everything around her seemed so much bigger and her fireballs just bounced back from an invisible wall. She screamed and shouted pounding on the invisible wall scrambling back when a giant foot came into view. David laughed shaking his head as he bent down and picked up the snowglobe containing the tiny Geri. "God you do love snowglobes, Solangel. Like it's a twisted obsession. Guess we should call the cops to come collect her since Alec's plan to catch her at the restaurant fell through.", David said turning and heading inside. He sat the snowglobe with the very angry and confused looking Geri inside on a table. Jacob walked closer bending looking at his wife's handy work. "Your powers never cease to amaze me Angel.", Jacob said standing up and kissing Solangel on the cheek. Solangel just smiled brightly. "I've wanted to do something like that to her since the day I met her.", Solangel said.

"Thanks. I thought given my stepmother wants to kill me, it's rather fitting. Speaking of. I don't hear shouting. What happened?", Zoe questioned. Merrick smiled taking his hand from her face. "Solangel handled the situation in a most comical way. Do you wish to see?", Merrick offered having been able to multitask listening to her sing and what was happening outside. Zoe raised an eyebrow. What could that rather scrawny woman have done to silence the loud Geri so quickly and, as he described, comically. "Um if you think they won't yell at us for coming downstairs and tell us to go back to bed.", Zoe agreed. Merrick shrugged. "Eh. If they tell us to go back to bed, I'll just try to not get lippy and ask if we are supposed to go to your bed or mine.", Merrick said with a wink. Zoe rolled her eyes with a small laugh. "You may be good looking and rather a sweet man, but your reputation precedes you. So that...isn't happening.", Zoe stated. "No worries hellraiser. You're a Petridis, an attractive Petridis but one none the less. I have no intentions of being physical with you.", Merrick explained turning to head for the stairs. Zoe furrowed her brow and followed him. "What does my father's last name have to do with it?", she asked. "Everything. You are a Petridis which means Gina is your little sister. And despite how much they hide it my little brother and your little sister are dating. So one of my rules is don't get involved with siblings of people my family is already dating.", Merrick explained. "So attractive as you are. The accent certainly helps, it's a no go. At least beyond flirting that is. Now let's go see what Solangel did to Geri.", he added heading down the stairs. Zoe laughed a little, so he had rules interesting. She followed him down the stairs and nearly ran into him as he had stopped at the bottom of the stairs suddenly.

Merrick had known what Solangel was capable of, something between what Landon and Wanda were capable of. He’d just never really seen the result of her abilities before. So as he reached the bottom step and he not only saw but could hear the tiny Geri pounding and yelling at the glass of the snowglobe he stopped abruptly and blinked looking at it. “Holy crap. I mean dang, I knew Solangel was capable of some freaky stuff but…um…”, Merrick said with a raised eyebrow looking at the snowglobe. The sudden appearance of her son caught Kim’s attention as she turned her head. “Merrick Edward what are you doing down here? Go back to bed.”, Kim insisted. Zoe placed her hands on Merrick’s shoulders and getting on her tip toes peeked over his broad shoulders to see what he was talking about. She’d never seen her stepmother but she did blink as she saw a tiny red haired woman punching, kicking, and even shooting fire balls inside a snowglobe. David sighed shaking his head seeing Zoe peeking over Merrick’s shoulders. “For the love of…Merrick what did I say?”, David said. Merrick laughed. “Mom, Geri isn’t exactly a quiet person and I have sensitive hearing so I’ve been awake since the car squealed into the driveway. And last I checked I’m twenty going on twenty-one and financially contribute to this house so that makes me one of the adults. So I’ll stay thanks. And David please me not having a shirt on does not mean anything was happening just that I don’t sleep wearing a shirt. I’m apparently the only one that thought maybe someone should check on Zoe while you all were outside with an extremely loud and pissed of Geri. Plus I don’t ‘entertain’ in the house. I do have rules.”, Merrick answered rolling his eye. “It’s true Signore Bryant. Merrick checked on me and acted as a diversion, not physically, from the ranting outside.”, Zoe explained still peeking over Merrick’s shoulders. As she moved to walked around Merrick her left hand found the indents of the bite mark and lightly traced the indents curiously before pulling her hand away. Merrick felt her fingers trace the bite mark but said nothing. He didn’t really want to give his explanation of he got into a fight with a wolf. But he did smile a little as his mind thought of Rose and that particular make out session.

“Fine, at least Sebastian slept through it.”, Kim sighed. “Mom Sebastian could sleep through a tornado.”, Merrick commented stepping closer to look at the snowglobe. Zoe moved closer with interest looking at the woman in the snowglobe. “So..that’s..that’s her?”, Zoe questioned looking to the adults that were standing in the foyer. Solangel smiled proudly. “Yup that’s her alright, cannoli.”, Solangel said. Merrick laughed a little at Solangel’s chosen pet name for Zoe. Solangel had a thing about giving nicknames to kids. Landon’s was the most comical to him since she calls him Lanny. Zoe raised an eyebrow and glanced to Merrick. “Sorry hellraiser. Solangel has a thing about giving nicknames to kids. Apparently you are cannoli. Sebastian is little Einstein, because he’s advanced in math. I’m just hound which I like to think is because of my mutation but I’m sure it’s more about my reputation.”, Merrick explained with a shrug. Zoe laughed a little but nodded still looking at her stepmother in the snowglobe. “So what’s going to happen to her now?”, Zoe asked. David had walked away with his phone to his ear. “David is calling the cops to come get her. Alec had worked out a sting operation with Azriel Delaney to try and catch Geri at his restaurant using himself as bait. But obviously she got away.”, Kim explained. “Alec did what!? He promised, he told me and Dam…dad that he would lock the doors and just stay upstairs to avoid coming to harm.”, Zoe said agitated with Alec for doing something so reckless. David walked back into the room hanging up his phone. “Alright Azriel is on his way to collect Geri. And Zoe don’t worry about Alec. Trust us when we say he’s suffered far greater physical pain in his life than Geri managed to inflict. I asked about him, Azriel said he was unharmed Geri had just chocked him but he was able to kick her away before she left bruises. His restaurant however did get set on fire but was put on so damage is minimal.”, David assured he remembered the time when Alec and his twin Chesed were one person. “Kim can you call Christian and have him find Damon? Alec’s tried calling him and he’s not answering his phone. Should make sure he’s alright too, though with how Geri was yelling she’d not found him.”, David requested.

Kim nodded getting out her phone and calling her husband. Zoe was relieved to know that Alec had come to no real harm but felt bad that his restaurant had been vandalized by Geri and it was all her fault. “Who’s Christian? And how’s he going to find my dad when he won’t answer his phone even for Alec?”, Zoe whispered to Merrick. “Christian is my dad. He’s a telepath.”, Merrick explained. Dad? But why didn’t his dad live here she wondered. “So where is your dad?”, Zoe asked cautiously. “My dad and my little sister Emma live at the Academy. Where your dad and siblings live. He didn’t leave when my brother and I left with mom. Two of my sisters wanted to stay so he stated with them.”, Merrick explained. Zoe nodded and didn’t say anything further. Christian of course answered the phone on the second ring, being a light sleeper. “Kim? What’s wrong? Don’t tell me Geri started war.”, Christian immediately greeted. “Hey babe. I’m alright we are all alright. Apparently her actions tonight were sanctioned by Azazel so David isn’t holding the Academy accountable. We’ve got her contained an no one hurt. The cops are coming to get her. But no one can find Damon and he’s not answering his phone. Think you can mental tap him and tell him to check his phone at the very least.?”, Kim asked. Christian nodded sitting up in his bed. “Yeah sure hun.”, christen said closing his eyes for a moment as his mind sought out Damon’s. ‘Damon. Damon! Wake up! You need to check your phone!’, Christian thought to Damon. Damon groaned trying to ignore the voice as he rolled on his hotel bed. ‘DAMON! I’M NOT ONE OF YOUR DAMN ANCESTORS! IT’S CHRISTIAN BRYANT-FROST! WAKE UP AND CHECK YOUR PHONE!’, Christian shouted into Damon’s mind. Damon’s eyes shot up and he rolled to the nightstand fumbling to grab the phone, his wedding ring getting knocked to the ground. “He’s at the tides motor inn, room 29. He’s checking his phone. Get some rest sweetheart. Give my love to the boys.”, Christian yawned. “I will. They miss you and so do I.”, Kim said. Christian sighed. “Emma graduates soon and I’ve already discuss with Azazel leaving after her graduation. I’ll be with you three soon I promise.”, Christian assured. Kim nodded. “I love you.”, Kim said. “I love you too. Night.”, Christian said hanging up.

“Alright so Christian found Damon. He’s at the tides motor inn. He was able to wake him up so he’ll check his phone and get updated.”, Kim said putting the phone down. “Your dad sends his love Merrick.”, Kim added. Merrick smiled. Across town Damon was listening the full inbox of messages many from Geri threatening to find and kill him. Then some from Alec telling him that Geri had come for him, he wasn’t harmed but the restaurant got some fire damage. As he went to call the Haven to check on Zoe his phone rang again. “Finally Christ man I’ve been trying to reach you for a while.”, Alec said. “Nice to talk to you too. Sorry about the damage Geri did to the restaurant. I was about to call the Haven to check on Zoe.”, Damon said sitting up and rubbing his face. “Zoe is fine. I mean still call of course. But I was listening to the police scanner while the cops were still hear. Geri was caught by the Haven members, no one was harmed. And um well your dojo is destroyed.”, Alec said. Damon sighed. “That figured. Try to hit me in some way since she couldn’t actually find me.”, Damon said. “Why weren’t you answering the phone?”, Alec asked. “Well part of the night I was on the phone with Isadora. And after that call I was just exhausted so fell asleep.”, Damon said a slight smile on his lips thinking about the phone call and what made him exhausted. “Oh? So you talked to Isadora? How’d that go?”, Alec asked. “It went well for two people that haven’t talked in almost twenty years where one had to tell the other his wife had hired people to kill her and their child.”, Damon explained. “Ah. So lots of you telling her you still love her and vice versa.”, Alec teased. Damon laughed. “Fuck yourself.”, Damon said shaking his head. “It’s true. You never stopped loving Izzy. And even the short conversation I had with her I could tell the way she said ‘fenice’ she hadn’t given up that torch for you. But call Zoe and I’ll talk to you guys tomorrow. I am, by the way, pressing charges against your wife.”, Alec informed. Damon laughed again. “Fair enough I’m pressing charges and probably getting a restraining order along with filing for divorce.”, Damon admitted. “So you are FINALLY going to divorce her?”, Alec asked. “Yes. Now goodnight.”, Damon said hanging up.

Those awake at the Haven could hear the sirens and see the flashing lights as cop cars pulled up the driveway. David walked over to the door and opened it before Azriel could even knock. Azriel gave a nod to David. “Fun night we are having huh David?”, Azriel teased. “Oh tons. Come on in Azriel.”, David said walking over to the table picking up the snowglobe. Azriel looked at the faces knowing all but one but the white hair was kind of a giveaway. “You must be Zoe DeLuca. The hair’s a giveaway. Captain Azriel Delaney. Nice to meet you kid. Has anyone been able to reach your father yet? I’ve got cops trying to find him. She burned his dojo.”, Azriel greeted. Zoe gave a small nod of her head. “Hi. Signora Bryant-Frost’s husband was able to reach him. Was anyone hurt when she burned his dojo?”, Zoe asked. “No casualties, thankfully. So where’s Geri?”, Azriel asked looking around. Alec knew that Geri would come, he knew her temper and that staying at the Academy and doing nothing wasn’t what she would do. He’d told Damon and Zoe he’d stay safe, that he’d give her no reason to bring him harm. He doubted fresh reasons were needed beyond that he had harbored Zoe, and would do so again if needed. He’d made his dislike of the woman known many times over the years. So he was certain he would be on her hit list this time. So he didn’t say upstairs. He worked down in the restaurant and made sure he was the last one there. He didn’t want any patrons or staff harmed when Geri arrived. He’d locked everything and taken a chair from inside and set it on the sidewalk and put on his jacket taking a seat to wait. He’d been sitting there since the restaurant closed over an hour ago. Mostly just messing around on his phone to pass the time. He was actually starting to think his luck was actually going to be in his favor that night and she’d not show up. As he stood up to take the chair back inside he heard a screech of tires and looked seeing headlights coming barreling down main street. In the distance he could hear sirens, police and fire and he wondered where they were headed. But mostly he kept his eyes on the car having to duck into the small alcove of his restaurant to avoid getting hit as it jumped to the curb. He stared at the car not having to guess who was inside as he came to a halt. He saw the red hair easily even before Geri stepped out of the vehicle.

She could hear the sirens getting closer and quickly got to her car. Alec had been useful in telling her where the girl was. The haven was dark everyone having turned in for the night. Zoe had tried using the Haven house phone to call her mother, but she got no answer or the machine which mean her mother was on the phone. Though she hadn’t been able to really think who’d her mother would be talking to so late and for so long. But Zoe had given up trying and was heading back up to her room when she heard the squealing of tires outside. She went to go peek out the front windows but found she wasn’t able to move. She looked all around trying to figure out what had her and then saw David coming out from a hall near the study rubbing his eyes. “No.”, David said simply. “No what? He knocked on the door, not thinking for a second about that he was only wearing a pair of shorts or that in the light of the hallway the bite mark left going on three years ago by Rose was being highlighted. Zoe paused her signing bring her hands down seeing a shadow under the bottom of her door more than she’d heard the knock. She glanced to the window for a moment still hearing the exchange of words between the adults. “You do not get to come here and talk like that to my cousin or anyone else living here. She screamed and shouted pounding on the invisible wall scrambling back when a giant foot came into view. David laughed shaking his head as he bent down and picked up the snowglobe containing the tiny Geri. "God you do love snowglobes, Solangel. Like it's a twisted obsession. Guess we should call the cops to come collect her since Alec's plan to catch her at the restaurant fell through.", David said turning and heading inside. He sat the snowglobe with the very angry and confused looking Geri inside on a table. Jacob walked closer bending looking at his wife's handy work. "Your powers never cease to amaze me Angel.", Jacob said standing up and kissing Solangel on the cheek. Solangel just smiled brightly. "I've wanted to do something like that to her since the day I met her.", Solangel said.

"Thanks. I thought given my stepmother wants to kill me, it's rather fitting. Speaking of. I don't hear shouting. What happened?", Zoe questioned. Merrick smiled taking his hand from her face. "Solangel handled the situation in a most comical way. Do you wish to see?", Merrick offered having been able to multitask listening to her sing and what was happening outside. Zoe raised an eyebrow. What could that rather scrawny woman have done to silence the loud Geri so quickly and, as he described, comically. "Um if you think they won't yell at us for coming downstairs and tell us to go back to bed.", Zoe agreed. Merrick shrugged. "Eh. If they tell us to go back to bed, I'll just try to not get lippy and ask if we are supposed to go to your bed or mine.", Merrick said with a wink. Zoe rolled her eyes with a small laugh. "You may be good looking and rather a sweet man, but your reputation precedes you. So that...isn't happening.", Zoe stated. "No worries hellraiser. You're a Petridis, an attractive Petridis but one none the less. I have no intentions of being physical with you.", Merrick explained turning to head for the stairs. So as he reached the bottom step and he not only saw but could hear the tiny Geri pounding and yelling at the glass of the snowglobe he stopped abruptly and blinked looking at it. “Holy crap. The sudden appearance of her son caught Kim’s attention as she turned her head. “Merrick Edward what are you doing down here? Go back to bed.”, Kim insisted. Zoe placed her hands on Merrick’s shoulders and getting on her tip toes peeked over his broad shoulders to see what he was talking about. She’d never seen her stepmother but she did blink as she saw a tiny red haired woman punching, kicking, and even shooting fire balls inside a snowglobe. David sighed shaking his head seeing Zoe peeking over Merrick’s shoulders. “For the love of…Merrick what did I say?”, David said. Merrick laughed. “Mom, Geri isn’t exactly a quiet person and I have sensitive hearing so I’ve been awake since the car squealed into the driveway. And last I checked I’m twenty going on twenty-one and financially contribute to this house so that makes me one of the adults. So I’ll stay thanks. And David please me not having a shirt on does not mean anything was happening just that I don’t sleep wearing a shirt. I’m apparently the only one that thought maybe someone should check on Zoe while you all were outside with an extremely loud and pissed of Geri. Plus I don’t ‘entertain’ in the house. Landon’s was the most comical to him since she calls him Lanny. Zoe raised an eyebrow and glanced to Merrick. “Sorry hellraiser. Solangel has a thing about giving nicknames to kids. Apparently you are cannoli. Sebastian is little Einstein, because he’s advanced in math. I’m just hound which I like to think is because of my mutation but I’m sure it’s more about my reputation.”, Merrick explained with a shrug. Zoe laughed a little but nodded still looking at her stepmother in the snowglobe. “So what’s going to happen to her now?”, Zoe asked. David had walked away with his phone to his ear. “David is calling the cops to come get her. Alec had worked out a sting operation with Azriel Delaney to try and catch Geri at his restaurant using himself as bait. But obviously she got away.”, Kim explained. “Alec did what!? He promised, he told me and Dam…dad that he would lock the doors and just stay upstairs to avoid coming to harm.”, Zoe said agitated with Alec for doing something so reckless. David walked back into the room hanging up his phone. “Alright Azriel is on his way to collect Geri. And Zoe don’t worry about Alec.
