Description During the planning process Duncan, the leader of the X-Men, wanted to have someone from his team involved in every strike on the five prisons. David was having none of that. The intelligence provided by the two humans Azriel and Colby Delaney said Aislinn was being held at the ‘Raft’ which was controlled by Adien and Blake Frost which was all David needed to know. If David had his way he would have dealt with 2/3rd of the Frost triplets solo, but Solangel said he wasn’t allowed to go alone and that she wanted to punch some Boston aristocrat face. David yielded to the idea of that Solangel would come with him to rescue Aislinn, and whoever else was held there. Demitri had agreed to join Scotty and Justin to take down Pyro. So in this mission the Haven was splitting up. David would have been alright with Demitri coming with him and Solangel, as long as there wasn’t one of the X-Men or the humans tagging along he didn’t care.

Since Morpheus showed up at the Haven without Aislinn and they learned that Adien and Blake had taken her David had wanted nothing more than to get her back and beat the shit out of both of them. The gull it took to take a Haven member. David had known Wanda wanted him on her side against the X-Men but really who thought that kidnapping Aislinn would get him on their side? Taking someone he cared about was not going to get his alliance and certainly not his obedience. All it did was piss him off and make him want blood. He took the kidnapping harder than the other members of the Haven, but they’d all agreed this was an act of war from the Acolytes. Solangel was ready to turn people into random objects for what they’d done. Demitri wasn’t as blood thirsty but he was willing to step up for his friends. So after they found the X-Men they made it clear they would be getting vengeance and no one was getting in their way.

When they had made the choice to find the X-Men David had known they wouldn’t come back till they’d gotten Aislinn, if they came back. He left Landon in the care of Sarael, Isis’ Aunt, with a notarized last will and testament so ensure that Landon would be taken care of. If something happened to David he knew that his ex wife would take care of their son at least. He just hoped it wouldn’t come to that. He wanted to come home to his son and bring Aislinn back with him. She’d become very important to not just him but to Landon. Some might say the love of a two year was easily gained, but that wasn’t true with Landon. His son only liked certain people, like he had a sixth sense of who wasn’t trust worthy. It was a trait David hoped Landon would always keep so he never made the mistake he did of associating with the wrong people.

David had refused to wear one of the X-Men’s uniforms. He never wore a uniform even when in the brotherhood and he wasn’t going to start now. The only armor he made was a helmet, he had learned enough about Wanda’s dad to know the metal helmet he’d worn was to keep telepaths out. So David made himself and Solangel each one to wear. Solangel wasn’t sure about covering up her signature blue hair, but David insisted if they were going to face Adien and Blake they needed to keep them out of their heads. What sold her was he told her she could paint it blue, which she happily spray-painted it blue. With their helmets ready they took the map the Delaney brothers had of the Raft and headed out.

The only help from the X-Men David had accepted was Kurt teleporting him and Solangel outside of the prison. “We’ve got it from here. Go back to the school and keep Isis safe.”, David instructed.  “I could help you. I could fight with you.”, Kurt offered. David shook his head. “No furball. Aislinn is one of the Haven and the Haven is going to deal with her kidnapers. Your job..”, David said pressing his finger into Kurt’s chest. “Is to make sure that our friend Isis doesn’t get hurt in any after math that might come from this. No go furball.”, David said turning his attention to the wall. “Don’t take it personal boy blue. If it weren’t’ for the fact he’s scared of what I’d do to him I wouldn’t be here either.”, Solangel said patting Kurt on the shoulder. “Well be safe, Isis doesn’t need to lose any friends today.”, Kurt said before teleporting in a puff of smoke.

“You didn’t have to be so mean. He just wanted to help us ya know.”, Solangel muttered. “Solangel no one outside of the Haven knows what you can do. I want to keep it that way.”, David dismissed. “What am I your secret weapon David?”, she asked. He sighed and shook his head. “No Solangel. You are my friend. You are Aislinn’s best friend. You are part of the Haven. It’s my job to keep you guys safe. I don’t think the X-Men would try to leverage your power, but I’m not going to take the chance. Your power is too much for either side to have, which is why I’m happy you are typically neutral. Let’s just focus on getting in, finding Aislinn and this Armelle chick they listed, and then beating Adien and Blake to death.”, he explained. Solangel giggled and gave David a hug. “Awe Davey boy I never knew you cared..”, she said still giggling. “Solangel, focus.”, he said shaking his head. “Right right, focus like a laser.”, Solangel said.

With the word ‘laser’ spoke she got a brilliant idea. “Stand back.”, she said pointing her fingers at the wall and lasers shot out and cut a hole through the wall before disappearing. “After you oh fearless leader.”, she giggled as the chunk of wall fell at their feet. “And you wonder why I didn’t want someone other than the Haven on our mission, you’d scare the crap out of the X-Men.”, he joked before walking through the hole in the wall. He looked down on his map to figure out where they had to go. “Alright if the humans are right, Aislinn is down this way. Let’s move.”, David said before leading the way down the left corridor. “Yes mon capitain.”, Solangel said giving a joking salute and racing after David.

As they moved through the hallways soldiers started to attack them, the hole in the wall apparently set off an alarm. He and Solangel had lucked out that in this location they just had collars to prevent mutants from using their powers. So as they rounded a corner David started to laugh at the sight of a group of soldiers pointing guns at him. “Are you fucking kidding me? Dumbest move ever!”, he said and with a flick of his wrist the guns broke into pieces and the metal shards rushed to his side and stayed suspended in midair. “You guys are seriously fucked.”, he said before waving his hand again and pinning the soldiers to the wall by their clothes with the various shards of metal. “Solangel, make sure they don’t fall.”, he recommended. “You got it. Sorry boys but you are between me and my blue-hair sista.”, she said waving her finger at them and in an instant their clothes melded with the wall trapping them now literally in the wall. “What the..”, they said trying to move. Solangel just started giggling at the sight of their feet and hands twitching as they struggled. “Just be glad we didn’t kill you.”, David said glaring at them. “But if I find any of you touched Aislinn, we will be back and blood will spill.”, he warned before continuing down the hall. “Bye boys.”, Solangel said with a little wave as she skipped down the hall behind David.

From video footage Aiden and Blake were able to identify their intruders. “God damn it. It’s David and that blue haired girl.”, Adien and Blake said in unison. “I hate when Christian is right.” Adien commented. “Ditto brother. But come on we are the sons of Emma Frost and Sebastian Shaw. We should be able to handle these two.”, Blake said trying to sound encouraging. Adien pickup the radio to give the orders to the soldiers, “Alright we have to mutant intruders, one is a metal bender, switch to the plastic guns with the power neutralizing darts.” “Understood sir.”, the commanded responded. The soldiers all rushed to the weapons locker to swap their regular weapons out for the plastic ones. “How did we not know they were hear?”, Blake pondered as he looked at the screens. “Because despite the way he looks Crow isn’t a complete moron. See.”, Adien said pointing out the helmets they were wearing. “Stupid metal manipulator.”, Blake grumbled. “Don’t worry though we’ll handle him and her.” Adien assured.

As they navigated the hallways David paused. “I have the feeling like we are being watched.”, he whispered before looking around and then he spotted it. A camera, it may have been plastic but its bracket wasn’t nor the wires that were connected to it. “Solangel, wave hello to the moron twins because they have us on camera.”, he said nudging Solangel and pointing to the camera. “Ooo I hope the camera does add ten pounds, I might look less like a brownie toothpick.”, she said waving. “HI BOYS! We’re coming to get you! Hope you are ready to die today!”, she said in her upbeat voice waving both hands in greeting. David just shook his head it was so hard to be serious about this mission with Solangel around. He cleared his throat and looked directly at the camera. “I don’t know if you have audio on this, so I’ll say this slowly that way you can at least read my lips. YOU ARE GOING TO PAY FOR TAKING AISLINN WITH YOUR PATHETIC LIVES.”, he said making sure he was clear in every word he spoke. “Till we find you, bye.”, he said before waving his hand and the camera fell to the ground. “Need to take out all these cameras…”, he said looking at the exposed wires. “Oh thank you copper wires….”, he said with a grin. He held up his hand and focused his energy to follow the wires and to his joy the wires to all the cameras linked to a central station. He closed his eyes and held up his other hand and with a clench of his fist pulled all the wires out.

Adien and Blake watched as the intruders found the camera. And there was audio so they heard every word the two said to them. “These two are pissing me off.”, Blake said glaring at the camera. “What is he doing…”, Adien questioned then suddenly the feed of where Crow and the blue haired girl, Solangel, were went to snow. “He took out the camera…”, Blake said. Then both jumped back as the control panel sparked and all the screens went to static. “Now I’m really mad. He just took out our whole system.”, they said in unison. “Intruders last spotted in wing D. They have taken out the security cameras so we no longer have visual.”, Adien advised the soldiers over the radio. “Understood, running blind.”, the captain responded in acknowledgment. “So we can’t see them, we can’t read their minds but we know what they are after.”, Blake said. “Right let’s get that blind girl. They won’t risk hurting her just to get to us.”, Adien said with a nod. “Guard bring us the prisoner from cell 12.”, Blake ordered to the guard that was outside the control room. “Yes sir.”, he said before heading out to complete his objective.

The solider moved quickly through the halls, most of the other guards had gone to find the intruders. He stopped at cell 12. “Let’s go.”, he said opening the doors. He didn’t really fear the blind girl, even less after they were able to put the collar on her so she couldn’t steal their vision. Aislinn sat huddled in a corner where the light from the window could at least reach her as the sun moved across the sky. It had been from the warmth of the sun and following it that she could even track what time it was and how many days she’d been there. She’d taken to scratching into the wall with a piece of concrete she’d found on the floor to mark the days as they passed. She never lost hope that her friends would come find her. She knew that they would never let the Frost brothers get away with this.

Other than them randomly showing up to tease her about having taken her powers and the guards bringing her food the only interaction she had was when Kim and Christian had shown up and tried to convince her they had nothing to do with her kidnapping. They both probably hoped she’d talk David into not going after them just for association with Aiden and Blake. She didn’t want to be the reason David stopped being close to his cousin nor give any reason that would prevent Demitri from being able to see his brother and sisters. But she also couldn’t bring herself to try and absolve Kim or Christian of this atrocity. They may not have kidnapped her but they also did nothing to undo what Adien and Blake had done. For that Aislinn would not be able to just forgive them.

The thing about being blind was that other senses were enhanced just naturally. So when the section of wall, cut out by Solangel, fell Aislinn heard it and felt the rumble through the wall of her cell. She then heard the alarms and the sounds of boots running in the halls. She couldn’t help but smile. “They are here for me.”, she whispered softly. She turned her head hearing the slight creak in her cell door as it opened. “Go?”, she questioned. She’d never been removed from the cell before. She had been kept there untouched like a porcelain doll. To her said that Adien and Blake were afraid of what might happen if she had been harmed beyond the bruises she’d sustained when they abducted her from the Farmer’s Market. But she knew they were not against hurting other prisoners. She’d heard a young woman dragged through the halls to a room down the hall for interrogation. It had chilled her to the bone when she heard the girl scream out in pain. She did have to give this X-Men girl credit, despite the pain being inflicted she never broke and never told Adien and Blake even a whisper of where they’d have gone. At first she’d found solace in being able to at least talk to the girl through their cell doors, but when the brothers realized this they moved the girl. “Go where?”, Aislinn questioned.

The guard walked over and pulled her to her feet and cuffed her hands behind her back before checking that her collar was still armed. “Aiden and Blake want to see you. That’s all you need to know. Now walk.”, he ordered pushing her out of her cell into the hall. “Are they scared yet?”, she asked as she regained her balance from being shoved into the hall. “Scared of what?”, the guard questioned trying to play it off as nothing. But Aislinn could hear the ever small tremor in his voice. Her smile widened. “So you are all scared. I wouldn’t blame you. If the people I think are here, you should all be petrified.”, Aislinn as she started walking down the hall her head held high. It probably wasn’t how Aiden and Blake expected to see her. When they’d look into her cell she was always just huddled by a wall, and to them that meant she was afraid. But she was apparently a good actress. She’d just spent her time waiting, patiently for her inevitable rescue.

“Here she is as ordered.”, the guard said giving an uneasy look to Aislinn. He didn’t know who the introducers were or how this prisoner knew them but how confident she’d become was unsettling. “You may leave us.”, Adien said excusing the guard who seemed relieved to leave the room. “You look….confident and rather smug. I don’t like it.”, Blake said narrowing his eyes at the insolent Scot. “You have nothing to be smiling about.”, Adien said glaring at her. “Oh really? Cause from the sounds of things I got lots to smile about. I told yah from the start yah messed up wit takin’ me. My friends are here and yah gonna suffer for your crimes.”, she said maintaining her smile. “Suffer? Is that what you think will happen? Do you seriously think we could lose to the likes of Crow and that blue haired weirdo?”, they said in unison. “Yes, especially when that ‘blue haired weirdo’ gets her hands on you. Yah can be as prepared as ya like for David, but there ain’t a thing yah can do to prepare for her.”, Aislinn said almost ready to laugh.

She knew all too well what Solangel could do and the fact that these two were under estimating someone whose powers they didn’t even know was very amusing. “So why am I here?”, she asked. “You are our insurance policy.”, Blake replied. Now Aislinn really did laugh. “You think putting me between ya and them will save you? Using me as a shield is only gonna make ‘um more angry. But you two ‘know best’ so do wat ya think is right.”, she said shaking her head. “Just sit down.”, Adien said pushing her into a chair. “Whatever ya say, you’re only going to able to give orders ta me for a short while longer.”, she said adjusting herself in the chair she’d been shoved into. Blake, not even thinking before acting, back handed Aislinn across the face leaving his hand print on her pale cheek. “Shut up you insolent bitch.”, Blake yelled. Aislinn couldn’t even try to touch her face where she’d been slapped due to the restraints but she took a deep breath. “Thank you.”, she said. “Thank you?”, Adien asked. “Yes, thank you. Because your brother just hammered the last nail in your combined coffin. Before that moment you hadn’t touched me, but now when David and Solangel get here they’ll see this mark that I feel on my face. Ooo they are going to rip you both apart.”, Aislinn spoke with venom in her tone.

“Blake we need to maintain our composure. She’s our insurance policy, remember. No more talking to her or hitting her.”, Adien said telepathically to his brother. Blake just nodded in agreement and both turned their back to Aislinn and instead focused on reading the minds of at least the soldiers to get an idea of what was going on throughout the prison. They could hear the concern in their thoughts, especially after they passed a group of soldiers trapped inside a wall. That got the brothers wondering what exactly they were up against. “There isn’t any way that Crow could have done that to them.” Adien thought. “Which only leaves that Solangel girl. Maybe the blind girl is right. If this girl can engulf our soldiers into walls, I’m not sure what her power is.” Blake answered telepathically. The brothers both turned and looked at Aislinn who despite the deep red mark across the left side of her face was smiling like she knew something they didn’t. “Let’s check her mind to see what this girl can do” Adien suggested telepathically to Blake. The two focused on Aislinn’s mind and started searching for something about what Solangel’s power was. But it was weird, like every time they tried to find something they came to a brick wall. “Who could have blocked her mind like this? No telepath is stronger than us.” They thought before pulling back from her mind. “Jean Grey” they said aloud in unison.

Elsewhere in the prison the soldiers were blocking off hallways ready to ambush the intruders from any direction. As the approached a turn David stopped and held up a hand to stop Solangel. He felt metal, only little amounts, like buttons or zippers in mass around the corner. “Those pricks swapped for plastic guns.”, he grumbled. “Fucking douche bags. Oh well, we need to go this way. According to the map this is the way to Aislinn’s cell.”, he said shrugging. “Alright on the count of three we step out.”, he said to Solangel who nodded. “One..two…three.”, he counted before the jumped out. Solangel shouted ‘BOO!”, which threw the soldiers off. “Ah what are you going to do? Shoot us with those….FISH”, she said with a giggle. To the shock of the soldiers and her amusement every gun turned into a different type of fish. They quickly dropped the fish that began to flounder on the floor. “Look David a swordfish, maybe they could use it to fight us.”, Solangel said pointing out a swordfish flopping on the ground. “Look guys, we get it you follow orders yadda yadda. I’m not looking to kill anyone. I just want Aislinn back and to beat the shit out of Adien and Blake a little. So your choices are; A) You leave and we carry on. Or B) You fight us and my friend and I destroy you and send your dog tags back to your families.”, David said offering these pathetic humans an exit. “Chose wisely boys, cause these fish need water and I’m thinking you’d all make a great fish tank.”, Solangel said raising her eyebrows a look of insanity flickering in her brown eyes.

The soldiers look at each other then looked from David to Solangel. “Is she serious about turning us into a fish tank?”, one solider asked. David looked at Solangel who still had that touch of insanity in her eyes. “Umm based on the look in those crazy eyes, I’d say yes. So which will it be? Fish tank or walk away?”, David said looking back to the soldiers. The group all stepped aside. “They are down there. I don’t know which one you are looking for but the blind one got brought to Adien and Blake in the control room.”, one soldier explained pointing down a hall way. “Good choice guys.”, he said patting one on the shoulder. “Let’s move Solangel we’re almost to Aislinn and then beating Adien and Blake’s faces into a fine pulp.”, David said before heading down the hall. Solangel frowned looking at the fish. “Poor fishies, I’m sorry I have no tank to put you in.”, she apologized before following David.

“David they said ‘which one’ like there is someone else here other than Aislinn.”, Solangel said catching up to him. “Yeah. One of the X-Men’s students um…”, he said looking at his map for the intel. “Armelle or something.”, he answered. “So what about it?”, he asked. “Well I mean we are getting her too right?”, Solangel questioned. David sighed. “Yes we are getting her too. Jeez I may have a one track mind of wanting Aislinn back, but I’m not a complete jackass. I wouldn’t leave some poor kid here.”, he said shaking his head at Solangel. “How little you think of me. Really?”, he asked. “I just wanted to know. But if she’s hurt how are we dealing with her while we find Aislinn and beat up the morons?”, she inquired. “Wow that has to be the most coherent and well thought out thing I’ve heard you ask me this whole mission. We find Armelle first, if she can’t keep us with us I took one of those communicators from the x-men. So I’ll call Kurt and he can poof in and poof out taking her to their healer.”, David explained. “Hey I have coherent thoughts. It’s not like I get all distracted. I’m focused.”, Solangel said pouting till she noticed a light shinning from a cell door. “oo shinny.”, and she raced down the hall to see what was making that light. “Solangel… god damn it, worse than Morpheus. Which where the hell is that damn bird? He was supposed to follow us.”, he said shaking his head and followed after Solangel.

“Helloo…”, Solangel said standing on her tip toes looking into the cell. There on the floor was a girl holding a metal pin that she kept flipping in her fingers. “OOO shinny pin, that must be reflecting the light.”, Solangel said. The girl pulled the blanket off from her and slowly turned her head to look at the door. Solangel could just make out the combination of green and black hair. It was hard to really see the girls face it was so bruised. “Are you Armelle?”, Solangel asked. The girl nodded. “I’m Solangel. We were sent by your school to bust you out.”, she explained. “DAVID! I found the x-men student!”, she yelled down the hall. “Come open this door please!”, she added. David finally caught up to Solangel. “Armelle? I’m Crow. Just stand back from the door, we’ll get you out.”, he advised before pulling the door easily from its hinges. Solangel raced into the room to look at the girl. “Can you even talk?”, she asked. “Ye..yes..I’ve.. I’ve ta..taken..a..a..fe..few hits to my throat…to..today.”, Armelle said as she looked from Solangel to Crow from behind her swollen eyes. “God damn it. Alright can you walk?”, David asked offering her a hand to stand. Armelle shook her head. “Th..they..broke my..my leg yester…yesterday.”, she explained. David sighed. “Alright. We’ll get you to Kisa. He pulled the communicator from his pocket. “Little boy blue. We’ve got Armelle here, she can’t walk and barley can talk. Need immediate evacuation for her.”, David said.

Armelle’s ears perked hearing him say ‘little boy blue’ as she tried to figure out who that could be. Then in an instant a puff of smoke answered her question. “N..Nigh..Nightcrawler.”, she managed to say. Kurt looked to Armelle and frowned. “Dear god what have they done to you.”, he said as he moved over and lifted her up in his arms. As she was lifted her pin fell to the ground. “Wait…her pin.”, Solangel said picking up. She looked at it a little confused it was a Greek symbol for Theta. “Theta?”, she said handing the pin back. “Armelle went to speak but Kurt beat her to it. “That is her team at the institute.”, he explained. “Have you found your friend yet?”, he asked. David shook his head. “Not yet, but we know where she is. Armelle, get better and don’t worry we will be paying Adien and Blake back tenfold for what they’ve done here.”, David said giving her encouraging smile. “Go get her to Kisa Kurt.”, he said. Kurt nodded and with a puff of smoke he was gone. “Alright all that we have left is to get Aislinn and beat the shit out of Adien and Blake. Are you ready for this Solangel?”, David asked going back into the hall way. “Heck yes. Let’s get those bastards!”, she said charging down the hall.

David sighed and followed after her. “So much for any amount of surprise..”, he grumbled. Solangel stopped at an open cell and walked around looking inside. David stopped and looked at the number on the door. “This was her cell.”, he said and as if somehow drawn to the cell a bird tried to land on the window but the ledge was too small the bars too tight. “Morpheus you damn bird.”, David said looking at the bird. “Oh you want in do you? Fine, Aislinn will need you anyways when we find her.”, he said and with a tilt of his head the bars pulled out of the window allowing Morpheus to swoop in. He circled in the room before landing on David’s shoulder and pecking at the shiny helmet. “Knock it off bird. We need to get to the control room and find Aislinn. Now Solangel..”, he said grabbing her before she could charge off. “We can’t just race in there. Sure our helmets stop them from getting into our brains but telepathy isn’t their only power, it’s just their best one. They can take our energy and turn it against us. Plus we need to make sure that Aislinn is safe.”, he explained. Solangel frowned. “Alright. So what do we do?”, she asked. “We walked down there, cop show the door meaning you on one side me on the other. I break the door off its hinges then we walk right in. I’m facing these bastards like a man.”, he said giving the plan. “Alright let’s do it.”, Solangel said.

As planned they carefully approached the door, Solangel took the right and David took the left. Without warning the door slammed into the room. “Knock knock assholes.”, David said stepping inside followed by Solangel. David did a quick scan of the room and Adien and Blake scrambled to not be hit by the door. David spotted Aislinn in a chair. “She’s coming with us.”, David said pointing to Aislinn and with a twitch of his finger the metal chair she was in slid across the floor to his side. Adien and Blake both moved to make an attack but Solangel got in their path. “You little snakes, how dare you take my blue haired sista.”, she growled and without warning a group of cobras surrounded the brothers hissing and lunging at their legs. “I wouldn’t move much, those things are poisonous I hear.”, she said with a giggle. “How you doing there sis?”, she called looking over her shoulder to Aislinn.

David knew Solangel would keep Adien and Blake at bay for a little while. He broke the handcuffs from her before getting a chance to really look at her. As he checked for any injuries he stopped instantly at her face. “What the..”, he said gently turning her head to see the hand print. “Which of these assholes did this?”, he asked. “You two have no idea how happy I am you got here finally. These two aren’t very entertaining. It’s was Blake, but it’s nothing he hits like a girl.”, Aislinn said bring her hands up to touch David’s face. She felt the helmet confused. “A helmet?”, she questioned. “New fashion statement?”, she asked. “Sort of. It keeps those pricks outta my head.”, David answered with a smile. Morpheus kawed and swooped to her shoulder. “Morpheus!”, she said knowing that kaw anywhere. “Let’s get this collar off you.”, David said reaching for it.

“We wouldn’t suggest doing that Crow.”, Adien and Blake said in unison. “Why is that?”, David asked standing to look at them. “It not only keeps her from using her powers, but it’s a bomb. You tamper with it and it goes boom and so do we all.”, they answered. “How do we get it off her then?”, David asked holding his hands out and two knives flew up from their hiding spot in his boots. He pointed them at each of the brothers. “Why should we tell you?”, they asked. David flicked his wrists and the knives flew across the room to stop just pressing against their throats. “Because you want to live.”, David answered. The two started to laugh as they took their diamond form. “You can’t penetrate our diamond forms.”, they laughed. Solangel frowned and the cobras disappeared. “There is no way we will give you the key to the collar.”, they said. David growled and brought his knives back to him. “See you realize that you can’t win.”, they said. Solangel looked at David questioning if they were giving up hurting them.

“I never give up and I never lose.”, David said as the knives melted and transformed into spiked knuckles that he put on his hands. “Impenetrable diamond huh? Let’s see about that.”, he said as he made a second pair and tossed them to Solangel. “Let’s put your diamond form against this adamantium I kept from a battle against Wolverine.”, he said before starting to punch at Blake’s diamond form. Solangel smiled brightly. “I’ve been waiting for this for weeks!”, she said before starting to punch at Adien’s diamond form. The brothers didn’t back down but the punches were starting to hurt, even through the diamond form as they began to lose ground. “Give me the key”, David demanded. “NEVER” they said in unison. Their refusal just made him angrier. His punches started becoming faster and with more force. Eventually he found that he had Blake pinned against a wall. Solangel was putting everything she had into her punches but she just didn’t have the strength he did to throw behind her punches. Adien was just laughing off her attacks.

Aislinn had back up carefully feeling her way for the door; she wanted to stay out of the way. Sadly till they had the key to the collar she was no help to anyone. Morpheus however decided to jump into the fray and was pecking at Adien’s diamond form as it shimmered under the lights. Adien thinking he had an upper hand made a choice. He changed from his diamond form and used the kinetic energy of Solangel’s punches and Morpheus’ pecking and forced them both back with a laugh. “Pathetic!”, Adien shouted. David turned to see Solangel be thrown into the control panel and Morpheus slammed into a wall. “Bad move.”, he said grabbing Adien from behind and transforming the adamantium knuckles on his right hand into a blade and pressed it firmly against Adien’s throat. “I wonder, if I slice your head off will Blake and Christian feel it? “, he asked as he pressed harder starting to draw blood. Blake quickly transformed out of his diamond form holding his throat. David smiled. “Oh shit so it’s true the Hive share more than just a mind, but pain too. This just got interesting.”, he said. “Solangel, Aislinn are you two okay?”, he asked keeping his eyes locked on Blake and a solid grip on Adien.

Solangel got to her feet and dusted herself off. “Yeah I’ll be alright.”, Solangel said looking to Aislinn. “I’ll be a hell a lot better when this collar isn’t on my neck.”, Aislinn replied. Morpheus stood up and shook his feather and flew to Aislinn’s shoulder where it was safe, in his mind. “So here’s how this is going to play out boys. You are going to give me that key and I will only mostly kill you. If you refuse I slice Adien’s head off and see how much pain that causes you and Christian.”, David said his voice going to a dark and sinister place. “You wouldn’t do that. Christian is engaged to your cousin. You wouldn’t hurt your own family.”, Blake said trying to call David’s bluff. “My family? My family?! MY family wouldn’t have done what Christian and Kim have done. Sure they didn’t take Aislinn you assholes did, but they didn’t stop you. They don’t tell me where she was, they didn’t bring her back to me. Kim knows what Aislinn means to me and still she did nothing. She also knew who attacked Mikali and Isis but said nothing. So let’s not start invoking the word ‘family’ here. Cause right now my mind says I got no cousin.”, David said pressing the blade a little deeper into Aiden’s throat more blood gushing. “That right there that’s for Armelle’s throat you sick bastard.”, he added.

Solangel walked over to Adien and looked to Blake. “So they feel each other’s pain. Alright..”, she said taking off her adamantium knuckles. “Sledge hammer…”, she said and in a moment the adamantium knuckles became a large sledge hammer. “This is for that nice girls leg!”, she yelled before slamming it into Adien’s left leg breaking it. Adien screamed in pain and in the same moment so did Blake. Adien started to lose his balance and had to put his weight on his right leg to avoid pushing Crow’s blade deeper into this throat. “Key please, or should I break his other leg?”, Solangel said looking to Blake holding out her hand. Adien shook his head to his brother, but Blake couldn’t take the pain and threw the key to Solangel. Solangel raced over to Aislinn and carefully removed the collar. In an instant Aislinn was able to use Morpheus as her eyes once more. She walked over to Blake and without a word slapped him twice as hard as he had her. “NOW that is how you slap someone.”, she said. “Goodness that felt good.”, she said smiling. David and Solangel also smiled.

While they were distracted though Blake scrambled to a radio to call for help. “Wanda! Wanda! We are done for here.”, he called. He wasn’t the only one calling out in distress. He could hear everyone calling for help. Then Wanda’s voice could be heard clear as day saying, “Everyone, shut up and listen to me. It may look like we aren’t going to win this battle. But I’m going to change our odds, we are all going to walk out of this without a scratch. Now I can’t guarantee that what I’m going to do will really work. So before I change things I want to say, despite our faults and internal problems I want to say I wouldn’t ask for a better group of Acolytes. So here goes nothing guys, it was a pleasure fighting alongside you.” Solangel’s ears perked hearing Wanda’s voice. “Change the odds…”, she repeated. “What does that mean?”, she asked. “Oh shit…she’s going to fuck with reality. I remember her doing something small scale back in the brotherhood.”, David realized. Blake and Adien both started laughing. “Looks like you are going to lose.”, they said in unison.

“Not if I can help it.”, Solangel said her voice for once sounding serious. She closed her eyes and concentrated. “Solangel..wat ya trying to do…”, Aislinn asked worried. “I’m going to stop her.”, Solangel said still focusing. “But she’s god knows where.”, Aislinn said still very worried. “Ya’ve never done something huge like dis.”, Aislinn continued as she was now worried that her friend could be putting up a heavy cost to save them all. “Solangel…”, David said. Before he could say anything more a burst of blue light filled the room bursting out from Solangel. Then not long after the blue light a purple filled the room. Then the colors faded and there was nothing.
