Description
The attack on the institute had taken its toll on so many families. The Hamiltons counted themselves as lucky in a way. Anita, Violet, and Teresa all managed to escape into the bunker with the other students, so they at least had each other. However they were still one Hamilton short. Their brother Mikali had been attacked and kidnapped along with his girlfriend Annai from their townhouse. The quarter had never really been apart. There was the short time of Mikali leaving for the Xavier Institute before the girls followed, but that wasn’t the same as this separation. Now they were separated by force. Not knowing what was happening to their brother was driving the trio to nightmares. Add to that the worry both Anita and Violet had for their boyfriends, Justin and Nash, who had gone missing while on a mission prior to the attack. Anita had gotten some relief when Justin managed to find his way home. But that didn’t stop the pain in her stomach as she worried about her brother. Violet still worried about Nash and her co-lead Aidan and their status, she held out hope they would return just as Justin had returned to Anita.

When news came that the X-Men were going to launch a counter attack/rescue mission the Hamilton sisters all volunteered. They were very specific though, they made it very clear to Duncan that they were going to whatever prison their brother was being held in and it was going to just be the three of them. Duncan tried to argue wanting to send at least one tenured X-Men on the mission with them. He was quickly shut down by the sisters saying Mikali was their family and it was their job to get him back and there was some threats made to Duncan by Teresa who said if he didn’t let her and her sisters rescue Mikali she was going to wrap Duncan up like a burrito with the metal walls of the bunker. Miakli’s band mate Crow found the threat from the young metal manipulator very amusing. But it showed Duncan just how serious the sisters were about being the ones to rescue their brother, so he caved and let them go on their own.

So when it was finally time the sisters put on their X-Men uniforms and found Kurt, who was acting as transport for most of the groups heading out. Justin was waiting with Mikali’s other band mate Demitri and Scott to leave for their mission to find Jean and Annai. Anita paused as she entered the main room and looked to him, he looked nervous. Her sisters were already standing with Kurt waiting. “Let’s go Anita..”, her sisters called. “Just a moment.”, she said walking to Justin and taking his hands into hers. “Don’t worry about me, alright. My sisters and I can do this. We can defeat Christian and get Mikali and Max back.”, she said giving him an encouraging smile. “I’d just, I’d rather you have let me come with you. You go with Demitri and Scott to get Annai and Jean. I’m sure Annai will appreciate a familiar face after all this is over.”, she said giving him a smile. There were mountains all around. “We’re in...the Rocky Mountains..”, Anita said looking around. “Do you need any more help?”, Kurt asked. “No we’ll handle it from here. Go get the rest of the teams to their locations.”, Violet said and with a nod Kurt was gone. Teresa looked up, tilting her head as far back as she could to take in the full size of the prison. “All this just to hold Mikali and Max. Seems like they could have put all our people in this one place.”, she commented. Violet shook her head. “Then we wouldn’t have to split up to find them. Wanda played this well, she hit us at the same time and then split up her hostages so we’d be ‘weaker’ when we came to rescue them. Too bad she didn’t account for how pissed of three Hamilton women would be that she took our big brother.”, Violet explained. Anita sighed at her sisters. “Alright let’s do this. Teresa is there enough metal in the structure that you can make us a door?”, Anita asked instantly going into leader mode.

Teresa walked up and laid her hands against the wall of the prison and smiled. “Cement but metal rebar. Stand back this is going to get a little dusty.”, she said before taking a step back. Her sisters took three steps back from her wanting to stay out of the way. Teresa closed her eyes and focused on the rebar in the wall. She held out her hands and as she clenched them the wall started to shake and with one quick movement of her arms like she was punching someone, a section of wall fell inward creating a door. “There we go, door made.”, Teresa said opening her eyes with a smile. “Good job.”, Anita said patting her youngest sister on the shoulder. “Let’s move out. Vi check the map and see which way we need to go.”, Anita instructed as they walked through the opening.

Violet pulled out the map that Colby had provided to Duncan and started scanning it with her honey brown eyes. “This is where we are.”, she said pointing. “And based on this map we need to head up to the left in order to find Max and Mikali.”, she instructed pointing down the hall. “Alright, before we move out, Vi we need to make sure our minds are shielded. Can you do that or will it be easier to have Teresa make helmets like we saw Crow do?”, she asked. “If we are going against one of the Hive, I know I’m strong enough o take him down, but let’s go with the helmets so I don’t have to focus on it.”, Violet answered. “Alright Teresa, you’re up. Think you can do it?”, Anita asked looking to Teresa. “Of course I can. If Crow can do it, I can took.”, she said before turning to the fallen piece of wall and utilized the metal rebar to fashion three helmets for her and her sisters. Once finished they put on their helmets. “God this is the worse fashion statement ever.”, Violet whined. “Oh shut up it keeps Christian out of your mind”, Teresa said scowling at her older sister.

With that settled the trio continued moving cautiously down the hall for the stairwell.

Anita stopped short of the door to the stairs and pressed herself against the wall and motioned her sisters to do the same. “What’s going on”, Violet asked in a whisper. “I hear voices..”, Anita whispered back before she peaked around the corner. There in the hall was about seven guards heading their direction. “There’s about seven of them coming. I’m going to put a fire between us and them then you two dash for the stairs. Once I’m behind you I want Teresa to secure the door so they can’t follow us.”, Anita said giving them the plan. Her sisters nodded. Anita took a breath and moved out of cover and threw up her hands as if to surrender. The guards raised their guns and before they could think to fire a wall of flames rose from the floor. They started coughing as smoke began to fill the hall from the blaze Anita had created. “MOVE!”, she yelled to her sisters who raced across behind her into the stairs. Anita dropped her hands and followed her sisters. Teresa grabbed the handle of the door. “Solid metal.”, she said with a grin. She twisted the handle causing the door to melt slight and become attached to the rebar in the wall. “Secured.”, she said giving a thumbs up. “Alright let’s head up. Which floor Vi?”, Anita asked. “We go up three flights.”, Vi said looking to the map again.

“Alright Teresa, can you seal all the doors to this stairs? I don’t want any surprises between here and there.”, Anita said turning to her sister. She knew she was asking lots of her youngest sister on this mission. But as the one who could bend metal, her power was most useful. “I think I can do that.”, Teresa said placing her hand against the wall feeling up the five flights of stairs and focusing on sealing off the metal doors. She brought her hands back as a thud echoed through the stairwell. “Sealed. I’ll bust the one we need when we get there.” Teresa said smiling proud of her work so far. “Good job. Let’s move.”, Anita said starting to run up the stairs. She knew each stair brought them that much closer to their brother.

They could faintly make out the sound of the soldiers pounding on the doors trying to break them door over the sound of their boots racing up the stairs. Finally they reached the floor. Anita stopped her sisters at the door. “Alright, we need to work in tandem.”, she said looking to her sisters as they could hear the soldiers banging on the door. “Violet, we are going to have to risk this, but you need to block your mind from Christian and take off that helmet. I want you to do a mental stun to the soldiers. At that same moment Teresa I need that door blasted in so it’ll move them from our way. Then I’ll hold them off with a firewall. We all on the same page?”, she said giving them their orders. “We’re with you Anita.”, Violet and Teresa said nodding their heads. “Alright so on the count of three. One..two..”, Anita said starting to count. Violet took off her helmet quickly putting up her mental shield and Teresa held her hands up ready to bust open the door. “Three.”, Anita said.

Violet and Teresa headed down the hall to where Max and Mikali’s cells were marked. Once they were out of the way Anita put up another wall of fire as more soldiers rushed the hall to check on the other group. Before Anita ran to follow her sisters she heard a soldier call over the radio, “They are heading for the prisoners sir. Should we intercept?” Anita caught up to her sisters. “We need to hurry, they are trying to intercept us.”, she said out of breath. “I’ll slow them down..”, Teresa said putting her hands against the wall and with a tug of her arms she brought the wall down collapsing the hallway behind them. “Not really what I was thinking, but it works. Alright let’s go. Violet can you pick up Max and Mikali?”, she asked. Violet did a quick scan. “yes this way!”, she said running down a hall ways. “We’re on our way, just hold on Mikali.”, she thought to her brother.

His self-healing power was always slow when compared to that of Logan, but with it being out for nearly a month he hadn’t been able to heal from any of the injuries he had sustained. His eyes were practically swollen shut and he knew for sure he had at least four broken ribs. He coughed, his body jerking with the force it took to cough, and he looked at his hand and saw blood. “I just need to stay alive a little longer. I need to see my sisters, I need to see Annai again. Max had seen them around the institute and the older two were in his leadership class. “Down here!”, he called. The sisters picked up their pace and stopped in front of Max’s cell.

“Hey Max. Poison and Kamal say hi.”, Anita said with a wave. “Teresa, door please.”, she said looking to her sister. “You might want to stand back Max.”, Teresa said cracking her knuckles. Max moved back as best he could. “Thank god they are ok.”, he commented in regards to his friends Poison and Kamal. Once he was far enough back Teresa ripped the metal door out of the way. Max moved out of the cell into the hall way. “Thank you. Let’s get your brother.”, he said nodding his head to the cell next to him. So we are going on to find him and take the key. We’ll call when we have it. But till then get Max and our brother to Kisa. Mikali said he had some broken ribs.”, she explained. Kurt nodded. “Help me with him Max.”, he instructed as he helped Mikali up. Max helped from the other side. “Just be safe. I don’t want to survive this and not have my sisters.”, Mikali said. They were all a little surprised to see he was on the ground holding his leg trying to not scream in pain. “What the fuck?! He’s already injured?”, Teresa asked. Violet did a quick scan of his mind and since he was in enough pain his block was down. “Oh you will never believe this. The blue haired girl with Crow, just took a sledge hammer to his brother Adien and apparently these three feel each other’s pain.”, Violet said starting to laugh. “Oh geez, this is going to be too easy now.”, Teresa said frowning. “So it was you three that broke in. Anita stopped short of the door to the stairs and pressed herself against the wall and motioned her sisters to do the same. “What’s going on”, Violet asked in a whisper. “I hear voices..”, Anita whispered back before she peaked around the corner. There in the hall was about seven guards heading their direction. “There’s about seven of them coming. I’m going to put a fire between us and them then you two dash for the stairs. Once I’m behind you I want Teresa to secure the door so they can’t follow us.”, Anita said giving them the plan. Her sisters nodded. Anita took a breath and moved out of cover and threw up her hands as if to surrender. The guards raised their guns and before they could think to fire a wall of flames rose from the floor. They started coughing as smoke began to fill the hall from the blaze Anita had created. “MOVE!”, she yelled to her sisters who raced across behind her into the stairs. Anita dropped her hands and followed her sisters. Teresa grabbed the handle of the door. “Solid metal.”, she said with a grin. She twisted the handle causing the door to melt slight and become attached to the rebar in the wall. “Secured.”, she said giving a thumbs up. “Alright let’s head up. Which floor Vi?”, Anita asked. “We go up three flights.”, Vi said looking to the map again.

“Alright Teresa, can you seal all the doors to this stairs? I don’t want any surprises between here and there.”, Anita said turning to her sister. She knew she was asking lots of her youngest sister on this mission. But as the one who could bend metal, her power was most useful. “I think I can do that.”, Teresa said placing her hand against the wall feeling up the five flights of stairs and focusing on sealing off the metal doors. She brought her hands back as a thud echoed through the stairwell. “Sealed. I’ll bust the one we need when we get there.” Teresa said smiling proud of her work so far. “Good job. Let’s move.”, Anita said starting to run up the stairs. She knew each stair brought them that much closer to their brother.

They could faintly make out the sound of the soldiers pounding on the doors trying to break them door over the sound of their boots racing up the stairs. Finally they reached the floor. Anita stopped her sisters at the door. “Alright, we need to work in tandem.”, she said looking to her sisters as they could hear the soldiers banging on the door. “Violet, we are going to have to risk this, but you need to block your mind from Christian and take off that helmet. I want you to do a mental stun to the soldiers. At that same moment Teresa I need that door blasted in so it’ll move them from our way. Then I’ll hold them off with a firewall. We all on the same page?”, she said giving them their orders. “We’re with you Anita.”, Violet and Teresa said nodding their heads. “Alright so on the count of three. One..two..”, Anita said starting to count. Violet took off her helmet quickly putting up her mental shield and Teresa held her hands up ready to bust open the door. “Three.”, Anita said.

The metal door blew in throwing the soldiers back, and before they could react they were unconscious their minds unable to hold up against the telepathic shock wave Violet sent out. “Let’s go!”, Anita shouted getting through the door. Violet and Teresa headed down the hall to where Max and Mikali’s cells were marked. Once they were out of the way Anita put up another wall of fire as more soldiers rushed the hall to check on the other group. Before Anita ran to follow her sisters she heard a soldier call over the radio, “They are heading for the prisoners sir. Should we intercept?” Anita caught up to her sisters. “We need to hurry, they are trying to intercept us.”, she said out of breath. “I’ll slow them down..”, Teresa said putting her hands against the wall and with a tug of her arms she brought the wall down collapsing the hallway behind them. “Not really what I was thinking, but it works. Alright let’s go. Violet can you pick up Max and Mikali?”, she asked. Violet did a quick scan. “yes this way!”, she said running down a hall ways. “We’re on our way, just hold on Mikali.”, she thought to her brother.

Mikali and Max had heard the alarms going off. Max managed to bring himself to the cell door to try and talk to Mikali. “Mikali..what do you thinks’ going on? Think we might finally be getting out of this hell hole?”, Max asked itching at his collar. “Cause damn I want this thing off.”, he grumbled. “Max don’t mess with that collar. I’ve told you I don’t feel like getting blown up.”, Mikali said. “And from the way these guys are acting, I’d say yes we are getting out of here today.”, he added. “Sweet. I wonder who came for us. I can’t wait to see Poison, she better be ok. Or I’m gonna snap an Acolyte’s neck. “, he commented as he started to pull himself to a standing position. Max leaned on the bars trying to get a view of what was going on. “Well we can’t snap Christian’s neck, at least not till he tells us where the key is.”, Mikali said. Mikali didn’t move from where he laid on his bed, he couldn’t move. His self-healing power was always slow when compared to that of Logan, but with it being out for nearly a month he hadn’t been able to heal from any of the injuries he had sustained. His eyes were practically swollen shut and he knew for sure he had at least four broken ribs. He coughed, his body jerking with the force it took to cough, and he looked at his hand and saw blood. “I just need to stay alive a little longer. I need to see my sisters, I need to see Annai again. He looked around when he started hearing a voice in his head. Christian liked to mess with him by looking around in his head, never finding what he was looking for. But this was different, it was familiar. Then he heard the voice clearly. “VIOLET!”, he yelled out loud. “Violet?”, Max questioned. “It’s my sisters. They are here. I just heard Violet speak telepathically to me.”, he explained. Max smiled. “Nice. Hope they get here sooner than later.”, Max said looking down the hall straining to try and see if someone was coming yet. As he looked he started to make out the outline of someone. “Someone’s coming..”, he whispered. And soon after it was easy to see that it was the Hamilton sisters. Max had seen them around the institute and the older two were in his leadership class. “Down here!”, he called. The sisters picked up their pace and stopped in front of Max’s cell.

“Hey Max. Poison and Kamal say hi.”, Anita said with a wave. “Teresa, door please.”, she said looking to her sister. “You might want to stand back Max.”, Teresa said cracking her knuckles. Max moved back as best he could. “Thank god they are ok.”, he commented in regards to his friends Poison and Kamal. Once he was far enough back Teresa ripped the metal door out of the way. Max moved out of the cell into the hall way. “Thank you. Let’s get your brother.”, he said nodding his head to the cell next to him. Without a word spoken Teresa rushed to the cell door and pulled it off then ran to the bedside. “Mikali!”, she cried hugging him. “Ouch…”, Mikali said. “Oh I’m sorry I hugged too tightly.”, Teresa said letting go. “No, it’s alright. I’ve just got some broke ribs.”, he explained. Violet and Anita raced into the cell to stand by his bed. He rolled just enough to make out there faces from his swollen eyes. “I have never been happier to see the three of you in my life.”, he said attempting to give them a smile.

They were all taken back by how bad he looked. “Excuse my language, but god fucking damn. What did these bastards do to you?”, Teresa said. “Christian can be a sick asshole just like his brothers, but mostly he had the soldiers rough me up. I think he didn’t want to get my blood on his hands. Probably thinks David and Demitri will never forgive him when they find out he’s the one that took me.”, He said trying to pull himself to a sitting position. Anita sat on the bed next to him and helped him. “It was Christian that attacked you and Annai? Well I can tell you that Demitri and most certainly David aren’t going to be in a forgiving mood.”, Anita assured him. “What do you mean?”, Mikali asked. “David has to stay neutral he wouldn’t get involved because of me. Friend or not.”, Mikali said confused shaking his head.

“Christian’s brothers took Aislinn.”, Violet explained. “They did what? Oh fuck, death notices signed, sealed and delivered.”, he said shaking his head. “So how do you know this?”, he asked. “David, Demitri and that blue haired girl found where we were hiding. David broken down the door literally. He wanted to help us because it would get Aislinn back.”, Anita explained. “Solangel? She didn’t come with you guys did she?”, Mikali asked a little uneasy. “No, she went with David to get Aislinn. Why?”, Violet asked. “There’s just…things I can’t talk about when it comes to Solangel. But either way we need to find Christian.”, Mikali explained changing the subject. “Yeah I’d like to get this collar off sooner than later I think it’s given me a rash.”, Max chimed in. “Why do we need Christian for that? I could easily take those off.” Teresa said raising her hands. Max and Mikali both put their hands up. “NO!”, they yelled. “They are a bomb. Christian keeps the key for them. Without the key to take these off we go boom.”, Max explained. “Your brother has yelled at me a lot these weeks to not mess with mine no matter how much it bothers me.”, he added. Teresa put her hands down and frowned. “Alright looks like we have to take down Christian then. Am I allowed to at least maim him Anita?”, Teresa asked looking to her sister.

Anita sighed, “Christian you can maim.”, Anita said patting Teresa’s shoulder. “Alright we need to get you two out of here.”, Anita said standing up. “Out of here? But I want to take down Christian.”, Max said. “Mikali is too injured to come with us and you don’t look that great either. I’m calling Nightcrawler for the evacuation. We’ll get the key to get the collars off.”, she said firmly. “But..”, Max started but Mikali weakly raised a hand to stop him. “I wouldn’t argue Max. Anita is the most stubborn of them, she’s just like our mom.”, he said. Anita smiled. “I’ll take that as a compliment.”, she said before pressing her communicator. “Nightcrawler., need evacuation of two injured.”, she called. In the blink of an eye Nightcrawler appeared in the room. “Why am I only taking two?”, he asked looking to Anita. “Christian has a key to their collars which are little bombs. So we are going on to find him and take the key. We’ll call when we have it. But till then get Max and our brother to Kisa. Mikali said he had some broken ribs.”, she explained. Kurt nodded. “Help me with him Max.”, he instructed as he helped Mikali up. Max helped from the other side. “Just be safe. I don’t want to survive this and not have my sisters.”, Mikali said. The three of them hugged him individually. “Don’t worry, we’ll be back before you know it.”, Anita said just before Kurt teleported them away.

Teresa wiped some tears from her eyes. “We are going to see him again right Anita?”, she asked. “Of course we are. We are the Hamilton sisters. No Bostonian dirt bag is going to take us down.”, Violet interrupted. “He has what telepathy, that stupid diamond form, and that kinetic energy thing. We have telepathy, metal bending and fire. We will crush him and if necessary barbeque him. Whatever it takes to get the key.”, Violet added. Anita sighed shaking her head. “I really hope it doesn’t come to me doing that.”, Anita said. “But if it gets us that key then so be it. We ready to do what it takes to do this?”, she asked looking to her sisters. “Let’s kick his ass.”, Teresa said heading out of the cell first ready to take Christian down. “Wait for us.”, Violet called as she and Anita went after Teresa. The followed the map to what was marked as Christian’s office. They stopped short of the hallway. “Alright Violet how many people are between us and him?”, Anita asked. Violet reached out and counted. “Three, just outside the door. I could take them out now if you want.”, she said. Anita nodded to proceed. Violet nodded back and then they heard three thuds as the soldiers hit the ground unconscious.

With them taken out they moved forward. “Alright, Teresa you bring down the door and I’m going to surround him in a ring of fire.”, Anita instructed. With that Teresa busted the door open and Anita moved in and put a ring of fire around Christian. They were all a little surprised to see he was on the ground holding his leg trying to not scream in pain. “What the fuck?! He’s already injured?”, Teresa asked. Violet did a quick scan of his mind and since he was in enough pain his block was down. “Oh you will never believe this. The blue haired girl with Crow, just took a sledge hammer to his brother Adien and apparently these three feel each other’s pain.”, Violet said starting to laugh. “Oh geez, this is going to be too easy now.”, Teresa said frowning. “So it was you three that broke in. Should have expected his sisters to come..”, Christian managed to say as he tried to stay out of the flames.

“Look just hand over the key and we’ll be on our way. Cause really do you want us to actually hurt you? I mean aren’t you trying to become the step-father to Kim’s triplets?
