Adder was thrilled when her clothes were all run through the wash. Having to spend even the few hours it took for the wash wearing the preppy clothes of Mason’s younger sister made her skin crawl. Mason at least had gotten Ashton and the other boys to not pick on her about wearing his sister’s clothes. Adder had grabbed her clothes and headed upstairs to change back into her acid wash, self created, jeans and black slightly torn Sex Pistol’s tee. “Ah feel like mahself at last.”, Adder sighed in relief as she headed down the stairs hearing more voices, female voices at that. “Great t’e party is startin’.”, she muttered hitting the last step. And she was right. Added to Oliver, Andy, Ashton and Mason were three more guys and six girls. Of course her unannounced entrance did get eyes to turn to her. “And who might this be? Mason you hiding girls upstairs already?”, one of the guys she didn’t know inquired smiling at her. Adder merely rolled her eyes.
Mason looked over and shook his head sipping a beer. “No mate. That’s Adder. Not exactly hiding her. She’s staying here during break. Ashton and I know her from university.”, Mason explained giving a general explanation. “Bird doesn’t look old enough to go to university.”, the guy replied. She narrowed her copper snake eyes on the guy walking over to the group and taking Mason’s beer from him and taking a swig. “Of course Ah look too young ta attend university ya moron. The guy laughed a little. “Found yourself a spitfire there Mason. Need to watch out when you fool with underage birds.”, The guy warned laughing. Mason rolled his eyes and took his beer back from Adder. “First, Jason it’s not like that and imply something like that again I’ll knock your head clear off. Second, Adder get your own drink not mine.”, Mason said sipping his beer once again. “Fine mate. I’ll not speak of it again.”, Jason said holding up his hands up in surrender. Adder sighed and went to the fridge taking out a bottle and twisting the top off. “W’atever. Ah’ll get mah own.”, Adder said taking a long swig of the beer.
“She’s rather adorable. A bit rough around the edges for being at a college party.”, A girl whispered to another as three of them walked over to Adder. “Hi Adder. I’m Lana, this is Alice, and that’s Mary. We went to high school with Mason and the boys. Love your outfit, but I think it could be improved on. Come with us we might be able to help.”, Lana suggested with a sweet smile. Adder was cautious about this and glanced to Mason. Mason heard none of it as two other girls were chatting him up. Wish me luck. Hope you have a good time hanging with the boys during break. Mason managed to slip away from the two girls that had been trying to chat him up and rested his arm on Adder’s shoulder. “Having fun?”, Mason asked. As they played the drew in a crowd. Vanessa, Barbara, Jason and one other guy Adder hadn’t been introduced to. “I’ve got winner.”, Jason stated walking over with two pint glasses and offered one to Adder. Mason raised an eyebrow at Jason offering Adder the pint glass. In the distance he saw Ashton talking with Tiffany and both shaking their heads at Mason. Mason glared at Jason and took the pint before Adder could and dumped it on Jason’s head a partially dissolved pill landing on the top of Jason’s head. The room went silent and Adder raised an eyebrow looking at Mason. “You have got be kidding me.”, Mason said. “What I was offering your friend a drink.”, Jason said. Mason didn’t bother with words and just slugged Jason sending him stumbling back and into a chair. “Out now Jason.”, Mason said pointing to the door. Jason groaned in pain holding his nose which was currently bleeding. “You punched me mate!? We’ve known each other our whole lives and you punch me over her?”, Jason protested. The room remained silent and Adder raised an eyebrow looking from Mason to Jason. “I’ll do a lot more than punch you mate if you keep talking. I do not and will not tolerate date rape drugs. If you can’t get any without the help of that you just shouldn’t bother. Now leave my house or I make you.”, Mason warned. Oliver and Andy rushed into the room taking Jason’s arms. “Come on mate. You don’t want to have him make you.”, Andy said escorting Jason out of the house. With Jason gone Oliver turned the music up and everyone seemed to go back to normal.

I’ll see you later Adder.”, Mason waved as Alice grabbed his hand leading him in the direction of his bedroom around the same time that Tiffany was leading Ashton to the bedroom he was staying in.
