Biography:

Landon wasn’t a planned pregnancy, this much is true. But his parents were married, at least for a little while. It was explained to him, when he was old enough to understand, that in the end his parents just weren’t meant to be. So his dad got custody and his mom got visitation.

It all happened when he was very little so he didn’t really know what happened. All he knew was that his mom didn’t live there anymore. His ‘Uncle’ Demitri was still there and two new roommates moved in ‘Aunt’ Solangel and Aislinn. Aislinn was originally there as his sitter, but things changed and well before he was in pre-school she was his stepmother. He never thought of her as that fairy-tail ‘mean stepmother’ because she was far from mean. She couldn’t see, but because of her mutation she was able to use Morpheus her raven to see. Which growing up made getting away with anything very complicated since Morpheus could easily hide up high where he wouldn’t be noticed. His mom had ended up remarried and moved away. So now he only saw her every other holiday when he would fly there. Landon was rather content to live at the ‘Haven’ with his dad, new mom, Demitri and Solangel.

He even got to see his cousins every now and then. He had vauge memories of seeing them practically every day when they were toddlers, but something changed when they were about
two. After that he saw very little of his cousins unless he asked about seeing them. Mostly he just got to see his cousin Lily. Lily came over often because Demitri had Jean from the Xavier Institute over to tutor Lily on her mutant power. Landon found himself being jealous of Lily having a power so early. He was jealous for many years, till around the time he was twelve when his power to manipulate organic material developed. Despite his jealousy about her mutation developing first he became best friends with his cousin Lily. When Merrick and Josalyn would come over to visit they’d all play together but he knew he wasn’t allowed to tell Merrick and Josalyn about Lily’s powers or that she was being taught to control them by an X-Men. There had been some incident when they were little that caused such dislike between the adults. But it seemed only the Haven and X-Men knew why they were mad while his cousin Kim was left confused about why his dad was so mad at her.

Over the years things started to change in the house. Demitri actually started seeing Jean Grey, Landon heard his dad joke that it was from spending so much time around her because of Lily that brought them together. Landon didn’t care why they got together, he was just glad that his Uncle Demitri was happy; he’d never seen him really happy. Which from storied of life before he was born he knew Demitri’s sadness was because his girlfriend, Landon’s godmother, Tara had died. Other than Demitri’s happiness there was another, more immediate change in the house. His dad and mom ended up having a child, a daughter together. So that made Landon the big brother suddenly. Which really it wasn’t all that sudden, in fact it wasn’t long after his dad married Aislinn that they found out they were expecting. At first Landon was ok with this ‘big brother’ idea. Then when he was told he was having a little sister by Uncle Mikali he wasn’t so ok with the idea. Little brother he could have dealt with taught him all sorts of fun things, but little sister that just sounded more complicated. It was Uncle Mikali that explained having a little sister, yes wasn’t easy, but it was still just as good. Uncle Mikali had three little sisters and he told Landon that when kids are little they all like the same things. He told him that his little sister would like trucks, mud, and getting in trouble just like him. It wasn’t still she older and more importantly a teenager that his role of big brother would take on a new meaning.

When Cora Lee was born Landon thought it was rather weird, but nifty that she had purple hair. It was like her mom’s red and blue hair merged and poof purple hair. It was shortly after this that Uncle Mikali explained the first thing that Landon would have to do as a big brother, which is to protect Cora Lee. She was born with hair that to most isn’t considered normal and therefore people outside their circle of friends and family will find it weird and might pick on her because of it. The idea of someone picking on his sister because of her hair color made Landon mad. So he understood that his job would be to protect her. And he always did and will continue to do. When going for walks as a family if someone spoke ill or rudely about Cora Lee’s hair Landon even as a small child would not just glare but actually hit the offender and tell them to leave his sister alone. It continued into when they were in the same school together.

Which Landon’s protection didn’t just go to his little sister, but to others too. He was officially the oldest of his generation, even having a couple days on his cousins. So he felt it was his responsibility to make sure people didn’t mess with any of the new generation. Because of family and friend connections he knew all the kids born both from the staff of the Xavier Institute and the Lehnsheer Academy. With the youngest kids and his direct family he did this as sort of a big brother. But there are those such as Ashley and Rose where he did so not as a ‘big brother’. Sure they were both a couple years younger than him, but there was something about each of them that made him heart beat a little bit faster and all ability to string a coherent sentence went out the door.

He still hasn’t really admitted to either girl that he has a crush on them. They don’t have much in common beyond green eyes and fair skin. Ashley is the brilliant blonde and Rose is the effervescent red head. He loves how Ashley is so sweet and caring about other people and even more soften spoken. On the other hand he loves how Rose is so course and upfront about everything, sure she cares about others and would fight to protect someone but she’s more abrasive and says what’s on her mind. His dad knows about his crushes and loves to make fun of him. First he makes fun about his crush on Ashley because his dad has known her mother for a long time and also knew the girl that she is named for, and it’s speculated is the reincarnation of. But when it comes to Rose that crush is the one that his dad teases him the worst about. All because her dad is the infamous Wolverine whom long ago he had faced in combat and that Rose through marriage is related to Isis.

Overall his immediate instinct to protect others and his general ties to many of the X-Men was why he chose to join the Xavier Institute after the first time he turned a banana his mom had put in his lunch, which he hadn’t wanted, into a granny smith apple that he had wanted. He was glad that when he joined the Institute it was also when Lily decided to join them. So he at least had one of his cousins with him. Living at the Institute was always interesting, made more so by the fact that Ashley and Rose also lived there. Now he was made leader team Alpha with Ashley as his co-leader. While Rose and his little sister Cora Lee are the leaders of Beta team, his crush on both girls made the team dynamics and team battles more awkward than they should be.
