Biography:

Lily was the first born of the triplets to Kimberly Bryant, Pretender, and Calvin Shadow. The story of her conception is a complicated one filled with great pain. Her mother had traveled to the future to stop Calvin Shadow from killing all mutants. During this time Josalyn’s mother was raped by her father, which resulted in the conception of himself and her and her siblings Merrick and Lily. When the group had traveled back through time it had an adverse affect on his mother’s pregnancy and actually sped it up.

She and her siblings were born at the Xavier Institute under the assistance of their healers Mikali Hamilton and Kisa Sohma. During the delivery The Calvin Shadow of the present kidnapped her and began to raise her as his own. Unlike her brother and sister Lily was being raised in a very anti-mutant house. She heard her father talk about mutants in the worst sort of ways. More often than not he was speaking ill of his first born son, Demitri, who had been turned into a mutant. So despite her powers starting at a very very young age, Lily kept them hidden so as to not upset her father or be shunned as Demitri had.

Kim met and fell in love with Christian Frost, a fellow member of the Acolytes. After Polaris, Lorna Dane, gained the office of president she was able to use her new political standings to force Calvin to return her to Kim so she could be raised with her siblings. And by force this meant Calvin was killed and she was taken away. Lily never felt at home or comfortable with her biological family. The only family she trusted and felt at ease around was her half brother Demitri. He looked identical to their father, which put her mind at ease, but unlike her father he didn’t hate mutants and she entrusted him with the knowledge of her mutant powers.

Not long after the Xavier Institute was attacked by an anti-mutant organization, Kim and
Christian were married. From this Christian adopted Lily and her siblings. Wanting to protect young mutants who may be uneasy about going to the Xavier Institute as it was being rebuilt, Scarlet Witch, Wanda Maximoff built the Lehnsherr Academy. It was at this new school that Lily and her siblings were being raised and welcomed their younger sister Emma Grace the 2nd, named for their adopted grandmother, and Sebastian Winston, named for their adopted grandfather and adopted great-grandfather.

Lily kept her powers hidden till around the time that Merrick and Josalyn started to show signs of having a mutant ability. A choice then had to be made. Now that they had mutant abilities they had to start to study and learn to control their powers. For Merrick and Josalyn the decision for where they would learn to control their abilities was an easy on. They enrolled at the Lehnsherr Academy where their parents taught. But a rift was torn between the triplets when she chose to enroll at the Xavier Institute, against the wishes of their parents.

Since she was taken away from Calvin the connection between Merrick, Josalyn, and Lily just never seemed as strong as the connection just between Merrick and Josalyn. Now the siblings found themselves in opposing schools. She wasn’t the only family member to choose the Xavier Institute their cousins Landon and Cora Lee had also chosen to attend there over the Academy when their powers developed.

For Lily she didn’t see how it was a shock she’d choose the Institute of the Academy. Yes her parents taught there, but that wasn’t a good enough reason. Unknown to her family she had been secretly being taught over the years by Jean grey on how to control her powers. These lessons always happened in secrete at the Haven when she’d visit her brother Demitri. So of course when given a chance to properly enroll she picked the school where she’d keep her teacher and mentor. It also wasn’t a shock that Landon and Cora Lee attended the Institute, since the school had been attacked there had been a rift that could not be explain torn between the Haven and their parents.
