Same idea, same basic composition as this work of mine by the same name: [link] (well it would have the exact same name but Mr. Deviantart doesn't like that)But obviously this is different.
I decided to try out a fully rendered version of O2, as opposed to vector-style. Due to the style differences I am keeping the other one up still. This was a summer project, which then got delayed by school for 8 months and finished in about a day once summer started up again.

Thanks again everyone! Certainly I wanted to take a new approach for his wings, chunky floating polygons didn't quite cut it and even the concept art seen in the credits still didn't feel quite right. Might take a stab at an O3 concept, someday...

This is a rather incredible pic of 02. I like your way of drawing his wings.

...Wow.
That's quite a unique way to draw his wings, but it works. The twisting, red void behind him is a lot like I'd imagine the Dark Star would look like if it had been more detailed (but alas, it was on the N64 and couldn't be).
