Lore time!
Void, being a full dragon, usually prefers to blend in with humaniods for what he says is safety but it's more down to wanting some peace and quiet. Being the "love child" of a Silver dragon and a Blue dragon was very looked down upon most of his life, that is until he took down the Golden Dragon Lord. He ruled over the place until it eventually fell apart, his crystals memorialising it as time ticked on. Now the palace looks like it's encased in ice.
The rules behind dragons is very close to DnD 5e and I used it for inspiration.
