(Yang's p.o.v.)
I fought against the tears that so badly wanted to come. My sister and I were as good as dead just then, and my heart raced faster and faster as I heard the assassin's foot steps drew ever closer and closer...
A sudden urge came over me. I wrapped my hands around the glass orb that hung from my neck and close my eyes.
It felt right.
"We need help," I say. I open my eyes to a black and white wolf with the most beautiful blue eyes. He was standing beside my sister and I, standing between us and the assassin. A white wolf with black markings and red eyes stood beside him.
The black version of the gem around my neck hung from the white wolf's.
"Yin, look," I say, helping my sister up. The red-eyed wolf pads over and stands protectively beside Yin. The wolves' ears prick towards a noise that neither I no Yin can hear yet. The black wolf butts its head against my hip, directing me to the bushes. Yin follows me and the white wolf's ears fall back a little bit.
Yin and I crouch behind the bushes, the wolves stand in front of them.
Then, the assassin comes. Yin and I hug each other and close our eyes. We didn't want to see the wolves end the man's life.
