Description
I sat on my roof, staring up at the sky. There were a billion stars out and the moon was full.
It's beautiful, I thought, smiling to myself.
"What are you smiling about?" a voice asked. I sucked in a breath to scream, but a gloved hand covered my mouth. "Shut up! The neighbors will wake up!"
I pulled the hand off of my mouth and turned to see who it was.
"Shadow!? What are you doing here? It's almost midnight," I whispered loudly. He shrugged, then he smiled.
"I came here to see someone I cared about. Plus, I couldn't sleep. Neither could they, from what I can see," he said. I blushed and looked away. Shadow's eyes were like pits of fire burning deep in his soul. Whenever he was with someone else and saw me, I could see his eyes light up.
"Everything okay? You seem out of it tonight," Shadow says, pulling me out of my trance-like state of mind.
"Yeah. I'm fine. I was just thinking of something," I say. "Why are you really here, Shadow?"
Shadow leaned in close and kissed me. A soft brush of his lips to mine, but it was enough to make me dizzy.
"I came here to give you that," he says. I don't say anything. I can't say anything. I do whatever any overexcited girl would do. I pass out.

I sit down on the couch to watch a movie with the others. As soon as the movie starts, I get dizzy. I leaned my head back against the wall and closed my eyes. My heart rate doubled and my breathing became fast and shallow. Onyx sat down next to me.
"Hey. Are you okay? You look like you're about to have a heart attack," she says. I smile. Whatever was wrong with me had passed and my body had gone numb.
"It's time for me to go," I say, getting up. Onyx looked at me.
"Why are you leaving?" she asks.
"I have to.
I turn to look at Sonic. He had his arm around Ai. Ai had her head resting against his shoulder. I rolled my eyes.
"Thanks for the meal, Sonic," I say. He glances at me and nods. I head for the door and before I turn the handle, I cry out in pain. I lean my back against the door frame and slide down to the floor. I press my hand against the back of my hand and I can feel warm liquid. I pull my hand back. My normally white glove was stained red with blood. My vision blurs and finally goes black as I lose conciousness.

I heard Payne cry out in pain. I heard the girls run out to see what was going on. I heard Amy scream. I ran down the stairs. I stopped half-way down. Ai ran up the stairs to talk to me because I was the only one who knew her secret.
"One demon to another: You can smell the blood, can't you? she asks me. I nod.
"How much is there?" I ask
"A lot more than there should be, even for a head wound."
I look at Payne, his gloves and pure white fur stained red. My best friend was suffering. I walked down the rest of the stairs and Ai ran to stand beside Sonic.
"How did this happen?" I asked him.
"I don't know. He had his hand on the door handle an dthen this happened. It's impossible that someone physically did this to him," Sonic said. I knelt beside Payne and looked at the time. 11:30P.M. I used the water that would heal Payne's head. My eyes glowed crystal blue, as did Ai's. She was lending me her powers so tha I could heal Payne. I shook my head, got up, and walked over to Onyx.
"I need to ask you something," I say, leaning in close. "I need to use my full powers. The others already know I'm a demon."
She looks at me defiantly and then turn towards the unconcious Payne.
"Fine. Just do it quickly," she said reluctantly. Then she walked away.
She always walks away from me, I thought.
