Y'know, I think people are missing the point here. Look at the guy in his first picture. Look how muted his colours are. And then look at him in the last panel. He's practically glowing! I think the idea is that one insignificant act, even if it's an accident, can really change someones day and outlook. Even a simple hello can sometimes enough top set people in a great mood. Never mind a full fledged glomp!Β

Well I can understand it well because I'm like this myself. I don't walk around with a happy head and many times I've had my whole perspective changed by one nice person. It always reminds me of a line from a play I love: "Thank you sir, for I have always depended upon the kindness of strangers."
I think this can really applied here. Btw, I'm glad I wasn't the only saddo who was thinking like this!

I'll settle for a hello. I surprise myself sometimes when I look back over the day I've had and realize how little I've spoken to anyone over the whole day. Outside teachers in class that is.
