So... what exactly is the fandom's obsession with "Inuyasha's sister"? It's practically become some sort of cult following, of the sort, "Even though we never see her, she MUST exist!!!11" I mean, WTF? With all the Sister!Sues out there, it would seem like Inu-papa was the biggest manwhore in all of Japan. Not to mention a majority of them are younger sisters, meaning either Inu-papa was a cheating bastard, or Izayoi got the hankerin' for extra youkai-lovin' after he died.All of the Sister!Sues in this image are based off of actual Sue descriptions in fanfiction. A search of fanfiction.net for "Inuyasha's sister" returns about 300 results of fics submitted within the past WEEK. I didn't brave all of them. In fact, I only got through those half dozen before my brain fried. Among them were a girl who was both Inuyasha AND Kouga's sister, meaning Inu-papa had to boink Kouga's mom. And a girl who was 3/4 cat demon, despite Inu-papa being her father. And a blonde hanyou from the modern era, meaning that Inu-papa somehow traveled to the future and shagged an American. The list goes on... x___x
Inu-papa gets multiple letters a week on his column inquiring about Inuyasha's mysterious sister. Either that or it's someone claiming to be his long-lost daughter. I mean... isn't that a little insulting to go up to a guy and demand that you know more about his family and sex life than he does?

You got guts, Patches, I'll give you that. To brave even a smattering of these Sister!Sue fics, most of which are probably illegible and impossible to read, and probablly totally fuck with documented canon, characteristics, not to mention having Sesshoumaru and a helluva lot of other characters majorly OOC... just for the sake of drawing a picture? Methinks you've braved something even *Devikuro wouldn't dare to do!

Speaking of Sues though... have you read "Raw Sueage"? It's got to be the best MarySue parody I've ever seen. Maybe it'll help you restore your poor fried brain (well, it can't hurt at least, and it's less than 6400 words, so it's not a very long read, either) [link]

Dang... That's hard to believe and at the same time not. Like me, I have a character who is Inuyasha's sister, but i didn't think there were people that made thigns like that. Inuyasha having a blonde sister? Those people are probably bragging like saying "NO! INUYASHA REALLY HAS A SISTER! HERE'S A PIC OF HER!" then showing their own character. i really hate people like that. I mean, the least they can do is say "No, Inuyasha doesn't have a sister. Though I like to pretend he does." I've never heard of that clan though. Though I DID notice that the girl with black hair, preistess outfit, and black dog ears kinda looks like the one i made up. But i would NEVER claim for Inu-Papa to go around with other women. I just stayed with the small things of "Izayoi having two kids and both are from Inu-papa." and the "Demon sperm never give up". Though, my character's exsistance doesn't make any sense. Can you forgive me if i was one of those who made a sister? i'm so pathetic. -_- *sigh*

Either these are created by people who want to be in the series but don't want to be someone's wife... ("Like, ohmygod! That would be SOOO totally unoriginal!")
Or they've heard about the third movie and have gotten the totally wrong impression. ("OMG! Inu-Papa had a third sword?! That must mean that he had a third child that was obviously a girl and I bet I know what she looks like and what her name is!11")
I admit that I'm doing my own little Inuyasha RP thing where half the characters are original (like...Sesshoumaru's wife. *raises hand* Guilty.), but at least my RP partner and I at least TRY to stick mainly to the original story-line and not change so many things from the original plot so we can use them to our own sick advantage.
...That probably didn't make any sense, but I'll shut up now anyway XD.

In a way I feel I must comment on this one. Inu Yasha's sister....Oh dear I guess I'm guilty of creating one as well, but its not hos younger sister that I created. Its an older sister, sh's older then Sesshoumaru... Don't know how orginal it is but I created her. One more sister to add to a seemingly growing list.

Well. xDD There's the fact that the SisterSues don't realize that... If you watch the third movie... There's no way that Inuyasha can really have siblings that are anymore than a few months younger than him. Lmfao.
But argueably, something might've been going on with Inutaisho anyway. Considering that Sesshoumaru's mom isn't Izayoi. Innumerable things could be assumed there.

While an older sibling is a lot more plausible, given the care and planning Inu-papa made for the two kids we know about, it seems odd that he'd just totally ignore a third one and not give them anything. Because if he did give them something, we certainly would have heard about it before now.
Not to mention a third sibling totally messes up the dichotomy between Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru. Plus, all the canon siblings in the series are in pairs. Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha, Kagome and Souta, Kikyou and Kaede, Sango and Kohaku, Hiten and Manten, Kinka and Ginka, Kai and Shinta...

Between fanfics like these and what I like to call anti-canon pairing fanfics (anything that takes someone from a canon pairing and puts them with another person), it's hard to find anything decent to read these days. This is hilarious - gee, only 300? Must be a slow week. I would imagine with the way the fandom is going that it would have been more. Hehehe! Great job on this, by the way.
Oh, and did you actually read all the stories that these girls came from? Or, just scan through them for a description. Poor you if you read them all...

Heh, no, I just scanned through them for a description. Thankfully, most Sues are attention-whores, and the fic starts right out with them, or they show up promptly within the first chapter, saving the group from some random youkai in one fell swoop, so I didn't have to look too far.
Unfortunately, I DID prefer ones that actually had more description than "she looked like inuyasha but was a girl", so it made me search through many more than just the six I picked out. That meant the ones I DID find were like, "molten golden gaze" and "silken snow-white hair falling gracefully around her slender waist" and whatnot. x__x
Although, one of them just listed the Sue's stats right at the beginning of the fic XD I've never been more grateful for that, since that meant I didn't even have to read the story!

have you ever read that stupid part in a fanfic when it would go like
"the demon was gonna attack....the inu gang was braced for action,but before they could do anything some nimble shadow came and killed it.(when it actually DOES lack horribly large amounts of detail)
