You know...I'm not that big on mpreg myself (I don't write it) but I have read some interesting ones (I will read them if they are well written and have an interesting and well-developed plot that makes it believable--even though it's impossible) but that's why it's called Fan Fiction (or just original Fiction) You let your imagination flow--even if said imagination is just plain weird. But I suppose I'd rather write/read mpreg than something say Beastality...:/
I agree that sometimes fangirls take it WAY to far.
But look at it this way, in Norse Mythology it is said that Loki gave birth to a stallion named Sleipnir, by saving Asgard by...I can't really remember, I just remember that bit. So, I guess fangirls aren't the only ones who think about mpreg...

I hate mpreg, I mean... where does the baby even freaking form? The preggers guy got &%@*Β£$ in the @$$ hole not the vagina (if he even has one, but that will just make him a damned cunt boy). So does it form somehow in the rectum and wouldn't that block it so he would get a painful diarrhea for 9 whole months and eventually... die from diarrhea? What if my Original Character is a Shapeshifter and he has two kids because he can shapeshift his body? o-o Is that accepting? lol. I love it when fictional characters have children, but Mpreg sorta confuses me. I don't even want to know where the idea came from. If you genderbend one of the characters, then that makes sense, but leaving it as it is? The first thing I ever saw of it I went 'awww' because I was 100% convinced that the "mommy" was actually a girl. O.O So now whenever I see Mpreg I just imagine the pregnant one is a woman, and I won't lie, sometimes that has made me go 'awww' mainly because I'm fine with genderbending.
