Description
This is the first successful AX (Angel Cross)-series Evangelion. Following the failure at Bethany Base at the Old North Pole where NERV had attempted to harness the powers of a live Angel, resulting in the destruction of the 3rd Angel as well as Eva Unit-05, a second attempt was made at the NERV base in Oceania using salvaged genetic material from the 4th Angel. The bonding was more successful than anticipated; not only did the Adam base clone gain some of Sachiel’s natural abilities, but Sachiel’s soul bonded to the new body. Unlike other Evangelion whose bonded souls require a pilot born following the Second Impact, the AX series does not. Intend of synchronizing consciousnesses, an AX-series pilot must dominate. Unfortunately, if this Evangelion goes berserk, Sachiel’s primal nature will be restored. Due to the Natural S² engine, it will not shut down due to battery failure, and so it will need to be terminated, likely killing the pilot as well.
I suppose this would fit in the Evangelion: Rebuild continuity
