This is a little touch up I did for my dad. I used [link] for the sky, thanks for that cool photo. Its a postcard from WW2, it has a story behind it.. tell me what you think, it's my first restoration type thing I've ever done. Please comment :-D.Related content

i think the problem i see is that the sky looks smooth and new, and the foreground is grainy and has wrinkles and marks on it. both look fine seperately, but they don't seem to match. i think if you're going for a newer look, you could try cleaning up the scratches with the stamp tool, and then maybe do a gaussian blur followed by an unsharp mask on the foreground to help blend the grain a little (i'm not entirely sure that would work, or that it really needs to be done). i would also add grain to the sky with the film grain filter, to make it blend better with the foreground. it's really a great postcard

Cool postcard, nice touch up. You might want to add some grain to the sky, it look to smooth.
