Description
A variant of the Land Raider Proteus, the Land Raider Armored Proteus displays features of the Land Raider Phobos. The twin-linked lascannons are enclosed in armored sponsons, and a twin-linked Heavy Bolter is recessed into the forward hull armor. Because of the armored housings for sponson weapons, the weapons can withstand more damage before they become useless. The lascannons can only be turned 90 degrees instead of 180. By the end of the Great Crusade, the Armored Land Raider Proteus became the most common type of Land Raider Proteus.
