Concept of sci fi shotgun.There is a battery instead of mag.Β Appearance is dark.Β
Worked in 3ds max, used vray rendering engine and finished it in photoshop. Model is highpoly.

While I quite like how it looks, to me it doesn't have that shotgun-y look - it looks more like some kind of rifle, specially since its battery is shaped like a magazine. I think making the front end bigger and altering the handguard from a sleek, integral piece to the weapon to something that wraps around the whole barrel in a U-shape (like the SPAS-12's pump) would make it look more like a shotgun.
That said, it's still pretty fantastically designed. Definitely going to follow your work!

yea. everyone see in this more rifle then shotgun... definitelly most people in shotgun design expect some pump action mechanism. Sonner or later I will do some concept with this feature. tnx you mate.Β

No problem, glad if I could help! And yeah, I've been there myself a couple of times and even made a rifle that looked (and loaded) just your average semi-auto shotgun. I think it's less the pump-action and more just being bulky at the front end.
