Work in progress: Finally got the multiliners that are compatible with the alcohol markers, so I will be taking another swing at work in color. I’ve been digging several Hasui Kawase prints for the last week for inspiration. Aiming to make backgrounds with some mood/character without torturing myself with detail. It feels awkward leaving so much un-inked, but the color will be doing most of the heavy lifting. So simplistic that it’s basically cartooning, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
