Another one of the Magic the Gathering cards I've created over the last couple of years. This one, titled Pendelhaven, is a promo card. I'm told its very rare and is actually being used as a banner on the new MTG site.I hope you like

I'm only wondering if (compared to the windows) the tree is a really huge one if it's a place for fairies. Somehow i like the first idea more

yeh the tree is supposed to be quite large but, I wasn't allowed to put any life in the painting for the assignment so scale was tough to nail....

I sometimes use some textures from a photography here and there to get the "details" down quicker. But, its always a combination of paint, custom brush, sweat, and reference studying

Pendelhaven is a very old card that was re-edited. It's a legendary land, providing green mana and boosting small creatures.
Your illustration is truly rendering the spirit of the card perfectly
