In the movie the man hiding her owned a dairy farm and asked for milk. The next time they met, he didn't know it was her, he asked for milk again while at a restaurant. They were the best scenes of the filn.

Actually, He knew it was her...He is that smart! He just thought 'Oh what the hell...' and started messing with her! Thats the kinda guy Hans Landa is! Then when he said: "I do have something to ask you..."
*dead silence* (BEST SCENE)
He decided to let her go...because it would be no help at all to what he wanted in the end for his plans! Everything goes well for Hans Landa...except the ending!
Sorry for ranting! I Am UBER obsessed with this movie and love interpreting things from tiny details...this movie has ALOT of tiny details! Like his 'obsession' with milk...it's not really an obsession per se...If you watch again in the beginning...he had that tiny look of 'Oh My, haven't drink this since whenever!' His ordering her milk SHOWS firsthand...He knew that it was her! The calabash as well...he doesn't smoke that often...(PROOF FROM CHRISTOPH WALTZ HIMSELF!)...he only smoked that once in front of that farmer, as if to say: "I've got you!"

No prob! I've got the DVD...it's addicting...I watched it 5 times a day...just because of Christoph Waltz flawless acting...little tidbits here and there...and its also fun to refer back to the script...because there are A LOT of things that made me go: "OH!WOW!" QUENTIN IS A GENIUS!!! It is SO cool how he said that the only time that he has worked so closely with an actor was Uma Thurman! And then Christoph Waltz came!! AWESOME!!!
