A pity that the writers of TFPrime meandered around pointless relic quests instead of touching upon that idea. Imagine the possibilities; a Vehicon uprising against Megatron because they were tired of constantly getting abused, mini-factions developing within the Vehicon ranks, the Autobots capture a Vehicon to try and learn of Megatron's whereabouts. Hell, even a Vehicon pizza party would've given them more depth.

Can't focus too much on cannonfodder, now can they? It's up to us fans to bring them Vehicons alive and so many have already done that, for example the uprising against Megatron, in the same story was the factions with ranks and so many stories have captured Vehicons being interrogated. Someone should do the pizza party!

Bring what up? They are cannonfodder. They are meant to be sidekicks that die without much focus on them. They are meant to be bad guys that the good/bad guys can easily dispose of to make themselves look better. It's part of story evolving to something bigger. There's no more complex things behind it. The Vehicons are NOT meant to be more than that no matter how much we fans want them to be the focus. We just have to accept it since it's not going to change as Prime ended already.
