is currently doing its holiday poke-swap, and I was excited that I finally signed up in time to do it!I had the honor of making a piece for .
Though he listed a few pokemon, I hope he does not mind that I only etched one! There had to be a Christmas/winter theme to it, and I guess I took the cheap way out by choosing Articuno from his list of favorites.
After experimenting with a few poses, I ended up locking into this one because it is a good display of his wing span. It was inspired by a reference image I found of a bird online. The background mountains was also loosely based off an internet reference. The ice beam/aurora beam was based off how I imagine it might look. I am glad I made it on an angle because I feel as though it was more interesting that way.
This is one of my favorites of all the pokemon I've ever etched. I am really happy with how this turned out! I hope you agree as well!~ It took about an hour and a half to make.

Sorry for the double post.
It's no major issue, but I find the picture to be a little too dark. I don't know if that's due to the Etch-a-Sketch, lighting or what.
Like I said before, it's no big issue.

I think it's the photo. I am planning on re-shooting, so that should fix the problem. Unlike most of my recent etch a sketch work, this particular etch a sketch was shot with my 10.2 megapixel digital camera in comparison to the SLR my friend usually lets me use. When he gets back to Chicago I am most likely going to bring this over so I can get better and clearer shots of this.

Wouldn't it suck if you like did a pic on a giant etch-a-sketch and but right before you snapped the picture it fell over and all of it was gone? Sorry just a random realization
And this pic is beast as usual. I tried following in your footsteps and now I can draw a rose on the etch-a-sketch pen I have in my kitchen drawer. I do that every morning while I wait for my stupid breakfast to heat up.
