Been really into The Owl House lately and wanted to try out mimicking a different artstyle, so of course I resorted to Snape.

This is the Legally Distinct character Samuel Snipe who is totally not a reference to anything in particular. Just for fun, here’s how I’d fit him into the show:

- Is in the Potions Coven and is a teacher at Hexside.
- When Luz first meets him, she’s like, “holy crap are you that one cranky professor with a tragic past from a certain popular young adult fiction series set in a magical wizard school whose author has actively ruined my enjoyment of the series due to not being a cool person?” And Samuel snaps out of staring into space and is like, “sorry, I literally didn’t process a single word you just said.”
- The joke here is that everything about Samuel gives off Snape vibes until you actually talk to him and realize he’s an air-headed dork who spaces out constantly. He has no mysterious, tragic past and has a good relationship with his family. He doesn’t mean to look so grouchy all the time--it’s just his resting face. Also he’s Willow’s uncle because why not. I’m already being self-indulgent.
