Fara was separated from her parents during a massive flood that swept through Eterna Forest and was left to fend for herself until being found cold and alone by a Houndour named Risk . One day after Risk returned from stealing herbs from humans did she voice her concerns about him getting caught, fearing that he and her wouldn't be safe forever. The day after, when Risk was hunting, she was attacked by a Skarmory named Falcon who sliced her chest open before engaging in a battle with an protective Risk; he was the victor of the battle. After Risk was defeated, and Falcon had left, Fara told Risk with her dying breath to run, fearing that Falcon would return. She had been correct as Risk was caught and brought by Falcon to the Cipher lab. From the afterlife Fara protected Risk and gave him the willpower to escape corruption. She is happy that Risk fell in love with Moonstar and has a family; all of whom she will watch over from above.

Trivia:
Fara, like many in the afterlife, has the ability to wander the living world as a spirit and communicate with others in their dreams as long as they are connected to them in some way (Ex: Fara can communicate to Risk due to their past and anyone connected to him such as Marie, Wave, or Moonstar). However, she is forbidden to influence the living world, only guide those that can in the right direction to an extent.
Both her parents are still alive and she watches over them often as well. After the flood they found themselves under the care of two trainers, siblings. They accepted this life as they could only fear that Fara did not survive and, being with trainers was safer than being in the wild. Her father is a Ninetales who is a 2-time winner of the Sinnoh League and her mother a Flareon who is a successful contest Pokemon.
A Ninetales named Mira is a guardian/parent figure to her
