Sometimes I can truly wonder and gawk at what goes on in some of these fans heads when they do such and say such horrible things about a wonderful character. However, then I remind myself that these people, these "fans" are only here in a glimpse, a moments notice for their attention spans are short and thankfully so. Once they are gone horrible things are no longer stated and the character is no longer bashed for being stereotypically fat when he is not. So, as I've said on another deviation the crazy fans are like the ocean waves. They crash onto the beach in a blink of an eye but, just as quickly retreat from the shore line.

They're not real fans - they're just hormonal little brats.
I actually don't see America get bashed for being fat (I see jokes about that more) - but I do see him get bashed more for being some obnoxious jock-like jerk, but the real fans know that that's definitely not the case. Sure, he's a bit obnoxious at times, but he really means well for everyone, and compare him to other nations; he'd be more approachable.

Now don't go calling them hormonal little brats. Sure they may be immature but, accepting them for who they are is more of the correct thing. They are real fans who just don't know how to act in a fandom and cry for attention. Surely they can be related to that of an extremely needy young child in a family. They simply don't understand and nor do they have the experience yet, to comprehend that a character isn't who they think they are. With time and patience they'll learn, leave or mature. Give them time and wade them out. And yes fans who have learned, are experienced and understanding know how to portray the character correctly and such could be consider real fans but, are the other fans not as real as you or I?

That's the thing - most needy young children turn out spoiled if they don't get the fact that what they're doing can have major consequences. Also, there are people who really cannot stand their attitude, and will pick and treat them harshly because of it.
A real fan? To me, that's someone who's accepting of others' opinions of the thing they're both on, while at the same time, loving what they love. I probably sound like a bitch, but that's my opinion of a real fan, and I'm being flat-out honest.

And one of the ways for that child to learn is by experience. Reprimanding only goes so far in this world and even the most wayward of fans can learn. All it needs is time and experience in my eyes and such is my opinion. And your thoughts on a real fan is one that seems more dedicated than that of a simple fanatic however, such is your opinion and I shall not try to change that. On the hand you are not a bitch. Do not ever call yourself that you're a brutally honest but, certainly not being a bitch or even sounding like one.

Well, considering how most of the hating comes from either a rabid delusional fan or someone who is more of a rabid BL fan, it's really not that much of a surprise to call them hormonal - "brat" is most likely from how immature they're acting, and the amounts of immaturity they can potentially have is just astounding. 👍: 0 ⏩: 2
Ms Hebigami, though rash, has a point - this may sound harsh, however you have to grow up. Grow up and accept that there are millions of people here, and obviously, not everyone is going to agree with you, and if you don't understand that and just want to cry and whine for attention, then you'll not only get tainted, but you'll also get hurt. To the extent, I know not. Sometimes a child needs a strict calling in order to drum it through their head that what they're doing is wrong - otherwise, they turned out spoiled and think they can get away with everything. How much time would a needy young child need? Again, that varies on the child, however, there are children who will just simply continue rebelling thinking they're correct, when obviously they're not - only stopping once they learn that there can be dire consequences to their actions.
The definition of a "real fan" is more along the lines of opinion, a subjective ideal. For instance, my definition of a "real fan" is someone who understands the characters - not necessarily love all of them, but they understand that others love this character or this pairing, and so just shut up and when asked, can say, "Oh I don't like them because
It's a harsh notation I have put up myself, but that's the thing; this is just fandom and if people act like this in fandom, how do you think someone will tolerate this in real life? Answer: they won't. There's a reason why people are actually leaving the Hetalia fandom and some are judging it from just a quick glance rather than giving it a chance. Understandably, people are getting frustrated and angry - it's because this certain breed of fan (rabids) doesn't learn, and they should get the facts drummed into them - because they'll eventually get caught in an inferno that will burn badly.
You bring some very good points in this, though I'm not going to offend you, but that doesn't mean these rabid fans can change. all I'm going to say.

Madam or sir I'm sorry if I have offended and I do understand his point and respect that. I try my best to be mature and understanding of others. Yet, the fans who do cry will learn from harsh experience. They'll have to learn from their past mistakes, it may take days or may it take years to understand. Being accepting of them is the best thing to do as other people must be of you or him or her or I. Reprimanding some will help while, leaving them be to stumble and fall may be the only way for them to learn. Now, for the definition of a real fan is as you said subjective but, under your own opinion I understand from where your coming. However, I myself see every fan in an equal light and that's simply how I see it. And you can be surprised at how people can tolerate people in real life. I myself have seen behaviour that would make a nun weep and is tolerated by parents, children and others. On the fact that people are leaving the fandom so be it. If they wish to leave let them leave, if they wish to stay they shall stay. And if can't see or look further into the fandom than what is on the surface do we as a fandom truly need such shallow and narrow minded people? When I first enter I was bombarded by things that disgusted me and horrified me yet, as time went on I matured and accepted which is the only thing that can be done in order to enjoy a fandom.
