Description

With the storm above his head and the rain on his back Rowan pushed on. No matter what he needed to rejoin to the flock. The rain spattering into his face making him squint. It was already difficult to see with only one good eye but now it was becoming impossible, if he fell too far behind he would lose them. The landscape already dark with only flashes of lightning to help periodically see in the dark.
He was tired and nearly ready to give up. He was the head male and he couldn't even keep up with his own flock.

"Don't give up lad we can ride out this storm!" Cried a voice over the thunder. Turning around Rowan could just make out two figures from behind, walking up towards him. Two elder male griffins. Rowan recognised them, his mentors from when he first starting out as rouge male.

"Roseman? Finch? What are you doing here?" Rowan called back.
"We were just in the area, we hoped to see how you were getting on with your flock!" Finch shouted, "But it seems that this storm is giving you some difficulties eh?"
"Ya think!?" shouted Rowan. Finch and Roseman now stood face to face with their former apprentice.
"Now, now, lets not let our emotions get the better of us lad!" Roseman said loudy so as to be heard over the thunder and wind. "Let's focus on getting you caught up shall we? Now continue to walk on, well hang back a tad just in case there are wolf raptors about, then we'll walk either side of you and be your eyes."
Rowan smiled. "Okay, let's do this! We've got miles to go and only so much time to catch up!"
Turning around the three of them faced the storm, Rowan walking a few paces ahead while the other two hung back looking out for predators. The flock were almost a speck in the distance, so far away, so many miles to cover. Then the two elders walked up to either side of him, a sudden feel of determination came over him. Yes! We can do this! We can ride out this storm....together!

Wooooo boy! It's been a while since I did some personal drawings of my creature characters. While doing Artfight to help break through my artblock I suddenly got some inspiration and then I listened to a Michael Sembello song, I knew what I wanted to draw. This was fun and tbh I'm starting to push myself more and more to do backgrounds and wider shots of my characters.

Anyway so a bit of a story peice for Rowan and a couple of characters who I literally just made up for this picture XD Finch (Left) and Roseman (Right) not sure if I'll use them in the future but we'll see!
