Description

So, while developing my starters final evolutions, my mind has been thinking of unique features of my region. Even though the concept of alternate forms and expanded "evolutions" is nothing new I wanted to think of a quirky aspect for my region. The Fridji region, like the Biritz region I was developing prior, are steeped in the Supernatural and Mystical. I imagine that this region would have many stories, superstitions, folktales and Poems about the Pokémon that inhabit this land. What if these stories had the power to alter the forms of certain Pokémon temporarily? Like the whole idea of if enough people believe in it, its manifests itself into life. It’s still a rough concept and its origins are still up in the air. Most likely connected to a Legendary Pokemon perhaps. Anyhoo, that ramble/pitch aside here’s some examples of Fable Forms I’ve developed for some of my fakemon.

Blackout Peril Euchelan - This form is derived from spooky stories children would share about Euchalan so large they’d drain entire cities of power creating terrifying blue lightning storms. I appreciate this Pokemon oddly and wanted to give it a giant swollen form and the tail has so many possibilities to look cooler.

Shanty Song Barrgeist - This form comes from old sailing stories of the Pokemon Barrgeist hiding on ships and affecting the sailors with intoxicating influence. Some sailors would see ghost ships with joyous faces as a result. I wasnt sure where this idea was going, dont know if its a leap to go from beer barrel to ghost ship but hey, tis pokemon.

Infestation Lullaby Okikook - This form comes from old Lullabys about the Pokémon Okikoul and Okikook as they would reside in old homes. The stories spoke about Okikook who would grow so large they’d burst from the home spreading illness. I love this Pokemon and couldnt resist since I developed a cool backstory for it, so with a fable form I wanted to do something with a dolls house, inspired by the scene from Alice in Wonderland.
