Well there must be more than 5000 pages in the comic ( even though you can read them really fast ) and the comic is really sweet but sometimes the fandom is boring.
Oh and also, depends on people, the opinions are really different from one to another, but Homestuck can be extremely addictive.

So, I like Homestuck, but I just got into it. I've been seeing a lot about how Homestuck fans are annoying. Um, can you tell me why that is? I mean, I have a clue but... its not really concrete 
I mostly want to avoid it, if and when I express I'm a fan.
Though I figure I wont *really* get into the fandom, but its best to be safe ^_^

I guess people just fangirl so much about it because... well, I don't know... they like it. I mean, you see fandoms about everyfin these days. *cough* Like One Direction *cough* But really, that's the best answer I can give you: if people like something, they will fangirl over it. That's pretty much it, so.

Just don't make any gog, jegus, or bucket jokes and you should be safe. A lot of people overused them and now their annoying. And don't be discouraged by what you see, a lot of us of pretty cool. It's just those people how use those jokes make the fandom look bad.
