FULL VIEW RECOMMENDED.It was just a matter of time before I did a serious Rammstein-centered art, because my fangirlism knows no limit :-D
Not much else to add - so on with the technical stuff:
- referenced to VΓΆlkerball screencaps (except Flake, whose reference I found at rammimages.com)
- pencil sketch, colored half in Photoshop CS2 (with many thanks to *jdillon82 's tutorial [link] ), half in Painter X, then eventually readjusted in PS to get the trademark fiery look.
- Rammstein font from rammstein.it
- download size is 4806x882 pixel, 2MB
- time taken... I don't know, really. It's been my postdinner activity for a bout a week, though :-D

Gah, wonderful work as always my dear. I applaud you for taking time to do each individual band member. Because *I* know that would be quite a feat for me to accomplish, so I can only gander that this was quite a task for you. (Though, this is only an assumption...)
Anyway, if I had to pic my favorite out of this; not by band member but by appearance and emotion, it would have to be Till's. The emotion you captured in his eyes is just striking! Not only that but I really like the small accents of blue on the side of his face. It gives it, I dunno... a certain "zest".
Speaking of flare, I rather like the the purplish tint you gave to Richards bust. It really makes the tips of his hair stick right out!
Anyway, those are just a couple of the most prominent characteristics I spotted. I'm certain I could give you a whole lot more... but I'm not quite sure how inclined you are to lengthy comments taking up your inbox. So I'll just leave it at that and enjoy the piece. <:

I agree with your statement. However, when they're serious they somehow get into deeper meaning with their lyrics. That's when you get songs like Mutter, Los, and Amerika.

Call me naive, but I still believe there's something beyond the lyrics. Perhaps more in Rosenrot, or Mann Gegen Mann.

i think rosenrot is just a striaght emotional song, and mann gegen mann... i dunno, its just about being gay. the title saysit all. it isnt really naive to look further into it, but i just think rammstein says everything they have to say about america in the song, and they just out and say. its a fairly blunt song.

Mann Gegen Mann is not just about gays. It like, how they have to go out of their way to do stuff most normal couples do normally. That's because society won't accept them. (I find the final line interesting: "Gay gen Mann." [gay for men])
Rosenrot is a love song. But it's also about the self destruction the boy does. He lost sight of what was important and ends up being sacrificial for his girl.
Du Hast I think is straight (not much of a plot), but what about Engel? The song was basically created to show their Aetheism.

ja the word play in Mann gegen mann, from gegen to gaygen.. ja that was a funny little thing.... but really i didnt think much about that song.
rosenrot, even the way you describe, that sounds like a revamped version of the old archetypical love song.
and all of the sehnsucht album was a bit more thoughtful, but i think du hast was less straight then you think, i mean Du Hast could also be Du Hasst, and depending on the use of punctuation, certain lines can mean certain things, but i like the statement they make on marriage in it. the chorus is like a spoof on its own, and they way he says 'du hast mich gefragt und ich hab nicht gesagt,' and then later awnsers 'nein!'
but then thats really the only song ive thought about. and the song engel i think could be a disavowment towards God, but i thinkl they could also be saying that theyd rather live their lives to the fullest, however they will instead of adhereing to what god tells them to do, because after it all they dont get much gratification.
one thing that always got me was the song herzeleid, though 'bewahret einander vor herzeleid den kurz ist die zeit die irh beisammen seihd' to which he later says 'bewahret einander vor der sweisamkeit' which seems to contridict the first verse. thoughts?
