Ooooooh! Great photo! The composition is fabulious. The dock is the first thing that the eye travels down, then it is the boats, then the islands and boats in the distance. This photo definately makes one want to explore the wide expanse of beauty captured.

The "graininess" comes from the .jpg format. The weak format compresses in a way that creates grain. Unfortunately, unlike some other digital cameras can only save to .jpg when a picture is taken. Sorry about that; also, sorry for those "boring" landscapes, I'm practicing procedural/fractal based texturing. Since it's so boring, I'll stick with hand painting em, thanks for the suggestion "nope."

What a magnificent shot. The eye just travels upward from the dock to the water, to the farther boats, to the islands, to the farther islands, to the distant mountains. Just goes to show how nature beats software any day. As far as the graininess supaspoida mentioned, I luck out. When I shrink it down to my desktop size, 1024x768, it's sharp as a tack.

Beautiful shot, it does indeed look like a place I would like to be. Those islands are crazy, I wanna explore em. The placement of that dock really draws the eye, especially in the thumbnail, asks you to look closer.

I havn't had enough experience w/all the settings etc. on digital cameras to help you out on this, but it is kinda grainy. I've noticed this problem alot, I believe ISO has something to do with the grain, maybe mess w/those settings?
