So Madeline and I have settled into a very COVID routine of watching photography videos on Youtube when we can't do stuff. Fortunately, when watching said videos leads to strange ideas, we can call our crew in, mask up, and do a shoot.

[Note that there are so far zero cases of COVID-19 infecting homo sapiens digitalis—they really are better than us. Sigh.]

In this case, the Video was Nathan Ellison's two-light shot (www.youtube.com/watch?v=tt5H9v… ), where he used two lights to put a lot of focus on a tall model's legs. It turns out, Poses Studio often works with a tall model with long legs. However, because these are strange times, instead of just following Nathan's set-up, we called Modo and asked him to make us a light with a single, very-long filament that could put out as much light as our brightest studio lamps. We didn't care if the filament burned out after one shot, we just wanted to see what a very long and infinitesimally thin light source would look like.

So Modo delivered a 1.5 m light with a metal ribbon only 0.1mm wide hooked up to a dangerous looking power supply bundled in fireproof blankets. For safety's sake, he put the power supply in a bunch of tinder blocks, too. We take safety seriously, folks.

Then Ryan showed up, and we ended up using a second weird ribbon light.

Daz arranged the set. Modo, as mentioned, made the front and side light, plus those swanky, high-end boxes piled up under Ryan. Affinity did the finishing, but it's really my fault the lighting doesn't quite deliver the leg highlights like in Nathan's lighting set-up that I was going for. Ryan kind of threw off the hole composition and lighten.
