Sleeping Beauty
My breath catches
upon gazing on her.

There she is-

Blonde curls encircle
soft skin,
framing it in gold.
So soft to the touch,
Radiant with life

Thick, seductive lashes
Flutter with dreams only she knows.
My heart stammers with feelings only I could feel.
My eyes follow those lashes to her nose,
As it gently curves to a little point and slopes back down
Making my eyes land upon her pink lips
So full, lush and soft.

My eyes are led down to her delicate chin,
Then to her beautiful long neck,
A gentle pulse can be seen at its base.
I cannot control my hand,
or fight the feelings inside of me
battling heart and brain.
A stranger's fingers graze her lips
and hand cups her cheek.

Hazel eyes burst open,
Dark with sleep.
Those lips open with a gasp
That chin tenses,
Her neck contracts with shock.

All I can do is stare at my once sleeping beauty,
Who stares back in only with fear.
