Description
Referred to as "Grey Frame" rather than its model number, the X-000 is the first Gundam-class mobile suit developed by NeoEarth and its development would later lead to the creation of all other X- series mobile suits. The Grey Frame initially functioned as a scaffold for installing and testing new hardware and software systems. It's sole purpose was to be a test dummy and never intended for combat. However, the mobile suit's full potential was realized by its developers when it inadvertently engaged both UNAF Z-series mobile suits as well as 4 A-10s. Armed with nothing except half-loaded forearm gatling cannons, the Grey Frame scored 5 kills before running out of ammunition, and suffered critical damage to its remote neuro-uplink module, resulting in the activation of the suit's self-destruct protocol (the nuclear self-destruct mechanism did substantial damage to the 6th enemy mobile suit). Even with the construction of the superior X-001 already underway, the Grey Frame were under consideration for reconstruction and full combat service.Currently, 5 Grey Frames are operating under NeoEarth, functioning through both neuro-uplink and analog control.
