Description
We can't forget about Pluto! This flag represents many of the large surface features of Pluto. The beige at the top represents the colors of Pluto's northern polar regions (potentially its southern polar regions also). The brown in the middle represents the dark brown Maculae that stretch around the equator. The greatest Macula is Cthulhu Macula, the darkest part of Pluto. We don't actually have images of Pluto's southern regions, so the dark magenta represents what Pluto looks like in false color images (Instead of being beige and brown, it's magenta and white with a pink tint). The pinker false color images are very widespread and are very much associated with what people think Pluto actually looks like.
The heart in the center comes from Pluto's iconic, white, heart-shaped feature (Tombaugh Regio). The left side of the heart in particular (Sputnik Planitia) probably has underground water and convection cells that get rid of comet impacts, keeping the surface very pristine! The right side of the heart
Here are true and false color images to show why the tricolor has those colors.

The center of mass in the Pluto system is actually outside of Pluto, due to Charon's massive size relative to Pluto. This means that Pluto is not just a dwarf planet, but a binary dwarf planet. This is why I called this post the Flag of the Binary State of Pluto; there will be a flag of Charon and a flag of the two combined flags in the future. The current system of government results in a country with two capitals (one on Pluto and one on Charon). Thus, while Pluto is bigger, Pluto isn't above Charon. Together, they dictate what happens to the 4 moons surrounding them (Styx, Nix, Kerberos, and Hydra). They also play a key role in influencing the Kuiper Belt, partially due to Neptunian resonances, support, and influence.
