She placed the fresh bouquet of lilies upon the cold mound of earth and gazed at the stone lettering, a million thoughts swirling in her mind. Regret. Jubilation. Loss. Exhilaration. She stood frozen on the earth, her throat tightening painfully every time she tried to say something. She could have been there for all of eternity, staring at the etched stone lettering, when she finally took a shuddering breath."We did it, Dad, we finally did it.
