This design "Living Network" is one of my greatest tests, proudest works, and most complex abstract designs. First sketched segment by segment freehand with pencil, then later carefully outlined in pen after thorough assessment of the layered circuitry.
Bringing colour and depth to Living Network was a thorough process and a lengthy personal test, having had very little experience with Copic Markers at the time and with nothing solid in the physical world to use as a visual guide. The process required multiple copies of the sketched design to be made in order to test colour schemes and shading techniques before application to the original work. This final stage spanned over a month, in order to complete the finished work provided for your viewing today.
