Description I've had my PSP for a couple of weeks now and it's soo cool~~~
I started thinking of how nice the L & R buttons...and then I though maybe I could make a character with ears like that...haha and well I ended up with this. _COMPLETELY_ made in photoshop, sketching, inking...everything. XD took me about all day (but I've played some GTA eaten and watched some simpsons...and now that I think of it I drew something else too XD haha well, anyway sorry for the messy description, I'm just in such a happy mood, it's SO rare that I get a whole day to just have fun and draw

I might add some more effects and stuff for later when I put it in my portfolio ^-^

Whoo. PSP-based catgirls? I believe you win.

I'm more of a DS person myself, but hell. I have a PSP too, for the media capabilities and emulators. Plus, my DS's top screen broke... =\

Hi There!
You have just earned yourself an O.D.D.(^oibyrd's daily devs) feature ! congrats!!! !
O.D.D.S are to honor the sometimes overlooked artists of dA that I personally think deserve some exposure and also, to introduce the more popular artists to the new/overlooked deviants. I prefer to showcase ALL artwork that I love (and that includes popular artists with a fair amount of traffic to their work) in order to create a non-biased feature of the talent on dA. *PLZ DO KEEP IN MIND - some of the features are quite popular and obviously don't need extra help - however - I enjoy posting them because they inspire other artists. Please click the link below to see your work featured and to view other featured artists . If you prefer not to be a featured artist, just send me a note and I will remove you from the list. Cheers! Sandi xoxo

You must have an amazing tablet to get all those little details and such. Amazing work for just the program, but then again, as I've learned through photography, the artist and the vision is eternally more important than any tool or whatnot. So I must commend you on a job well done. Very sleek and sexy, and now I wonder if you'll do one for the DS. Just curious, maybe you can even make a small series of photos with them, but just a thought.

I love the shiny plastic suit, very nice.
Her lips look really good too. mmm you should have given the photographer credit for the referance pic you used XD.
Nice use of it anyways

"mmm you should have given the photographer credit for the referance pic you used XD." what do you mean by that? thats pretty rude.

I love the picture...I just think you should have mentioned you used referance from this. I just think if the photographer found your pic and did not see his/her picture mentioned that they would be kinda insulted. Photographers are artists to...no one likes their pic used even a bit for referance without credits.
Sorry if I offended you...I'm just a firm believer in giving proper credits and such...even if the pic was only used a bit for inspiration XD
Sorry if it sounds rude

pu In reply to Meiphon [2006-07-11 15:45:50 +0000 UTC]

I use a lot of pictures as references for my images, the one you linked to above is one of the 3 or 4 I took inspiration for this one. I also believe of giving credit but in this case I think the credit should be given more to anzu (my favourite model) than the photographer. ofcourse I would like to give credit to all of the models and photographers work I take inspiration from but it simply cannot be done. Your comment was rude but you thinking you should give credit is not, there is just not enough hours in the day to list all the places you daily take inspiration for poses and colouring. Just ask any professional artist.
Besides my psp image is not really much like the anzu picture...I think you should direct that comment to all the famous artists that clearly just paint over photographs and claim it as their image.

ah don't get upset. what I meant was you should have backed up your comment with a bit more info not just throw it put like that without any explanation, if you know what I mean. And I still think it should be atleast credited to anzu rather than the photographer.

To be honest that image you linked to was used for the pose of her left arm _only_ (I didnt even have the left half of that image you linked to since it appearently is a spread(sp?)) And it was a thing I changed after drawing the rest (being cluless of how her arm pose should be I stumbled upon that image in my folder). I really don't see how that is even worth mentioning credit for ; I never copy poses from other images, but sometimes they come out looking like other photos etc...and it's because most poses/ angles etc have at one point been photographed/drawn. I thing you should always give credit too but when not using an image for reference why should I?

thank you still for your nice comments about it!
Perhaps we should just end it here since it seems we just have a difference in opinions.

Meiphon In reply to pu [2006-07-11 18:16:13 +0000 UTC]

My comment was rude? I thought I just complimented your piece and then mentioned that you should have givin some credit
There was no rudeness intended *cries*
Sure...I use alot of photo reference for my work, I just thought yours stood out the most. I would not give credits to the little things that I get inspiration from, but poses I must! This pose is very close to the original so I just thought it would be right.
People probably complimented you on the pose....so saying "thanks! I'm glad you like it" or something like that would kinda be bad. Cuz obviously the pose is not yours. What is yours is the creativity and awesomeness that you did to the pose, thats all yours and you shouldnt have to claim using references for any of it.
I guess this is just a clash of opinions. Where as I believe poses, should ALWAYS be given credit for. Cuz its not just a random generic pose, its creative and it must have taken the model and the photographer alot of time.
I'm sorry if I sound rude...I just see so many people copying poses and claiming it was all their idea.
I'm not saying you have done that either, dont get me wrong.

There has even been people that will copy my pictures and poses...and just change their faces or clothing...and it makes me sad....and want to find them and poke them to death LOL but thats a different story XD

But really...I guess I shouldn't be saying anything...its your work and you should do with it what you want regardless.
I'm just giving you my opinion...nothing rude or mean was intended.
I still love the picture, and your a fantastic artist.
Sorry if I offended you, it was not meant to be taken that way.
