Description
Tarot. For more information about the deck and to see the rest of the cards: [link]Eight of Swords - Wasting energy on the trivial, frozen in crisis, restricted, confused, feeling powerless, trapped by circumstances.
The Brambles Crone lives among the blackberry hedges where the fruit is tempting and sweet, but even the leaves have wickedly curved thorns to catch and hold. The little hummingbird may flit and navigate with ease among such treacherous tangles, but the grand elegance of the Swan with the arcing spread of her wings is not for such tangled and thorny corridors.

I was wondering how you were going to handle the most notorious card in the deck and I am not disappointed.
I cannot wait for you to publish the deck. Are we there yet??

I would think the 3 and 10 of swords are the most notorious! Speaking of which, I have no idea how I'll handle the 10....

Hmm, yes, the 10. There are enough stories of ruin in traditional European fairy tales, but you have put such an interesting and unique spin on your depictions of the cards' meanings... What I _do_ know is that once you've figured it out, it's going to be beautiful and very special, not to sund like the deranged fangirl that I am

I agree with ~neepa, I will totally buy this deck! Part of the reason I've never gotten my own deck is the terrible art on some of 'em... This is beautiful!

This one is one of my favorite ones yet. It's definitely one of your strongest. The swan bones are a nice touch.

Stephanie,
You have done a superb job of capturing the feeling of being hemmed in by hopelessness.

I love how you painted the swan! It's feathers and the colors you used in them are very nicely done!
