The Empire is an Enlightened Absolutsm with a lot of independent feudal lords that swear fealty. State Religion is the Temple of Albin. Less than 10% of the population is literate (and those who do read and write are mostly nobles and their administrative staff). Plurality is low. Muzzle loading rifles are getting replaced by breech loaded small arms. And the Emperor's marching off to another war, this time with the Tulfangue.
