As the darkness settles in,The lights of houses are bright.
I gazed at the lights with fancy,
These Christmas lights are even lovely...
I passed my way gazing,
As my breath freezes in the air.
I look ahead of me,
And see the brightest light as a star.
I hurried along my way;
My pace quickens.
I just had seen a silhouette,
"Who is that?" I wondered...
As I drew near,
The light is even lovelier.
The tree stands tall hovering over me;
Such a beautiful view...
I had remembered the silhouette,
And quickly searched for that mysterious shadow.
As soon as I set eyes on it again,
There you were... smiling.
You walked towards me slowly,
As I held my breath, looking at you.
"Merry Christmas," you say so sweetly,
And embraced me tightly.
Despite the lights around me;
Despite how beautiful the scenery is;
There was only one light shining brightly:
The one I am with... you.
