I see.. well, a similar issue I see here is the thickness of the eyebrows. It just makes her look so serious, and I don't think that's what you were looking for. Perhaps you should stick with simple eyebrows (like just a simple arch that gives the desired expression) if the character is feminine or not very masculine for a male. As well my opinion stands for the ears. This is still pretty good!
