Description
Name: Siofra
Age: ~500 years
Gender: genderless, but favors female forms
Species: fae “changeling” shapeshifter
WDSA status: unregistered
Personality:
Siofra is an animalistic entity - wild and untamed despite their utter loyalty to their fae master and court. Their role could be compared to that of a guard dog; motivated by food and affection, they carry out their masters dirty work and have never considered that their role could be anything more than that.
Their intelligence is not quite that of a humans, and is more akin to a cunning predatory animal than anything else.
They are an impatient and violent entity, but are easily directed and manipulated - which makes them all the more dangerous in the hands of the court.
Strengths:
Shapeshifting: Siofra has the ability to change into any kind of earth animal (cannot turn into something supernatural like a dragon or manticore) but it will always be black-coated. This means they have an essentially endless arsenal of teeth, claws and animal-strengths to fight with. Obscure animals or ones they have not practiced shifting into will often look “off” and slightly deformed.
Doppelgänger: Siofra’s most useful ability is being able to exactly mimic the appearance of any human or humanoid creature. They can sense who people are close to, and will often mimic a family member or significant other to lure humans away. Although they can mimic the appearance completely accurately, down to freckles and birthmarks, they are abysmal at mimicking personalities or acting human.
Strength/durability: Siofra is very strong and very aggressive and will not hesitate to maul a perceived threat. Their favorite form to attack in is their natural form, a mare, and they could easily rip off a limb with a good bite, or cave in someones skull with a direct kick. Regardless of the human form they are mimicking, they retain their unnatural strength and would easily overpower a human in hand to hand combat. She is durable and it would take a great deal of injury to slow her down, and something significant like beheading or disembowelment to kill her.
Moonlight: the moon helps to regenerate their strength and heal from injuries. They are strongest on full moons, and their strength fluctuates slightly as the moon waxes and wanes.
Weaknesses:
Iron: as it is with all fae creatures, iron will badly burn Siofra. Contact with iron is extremely painful and can take months to heal.
Eggshells: as a changeling-type entity, eggshells or water boiled with eggshells has the same effect salt would on a ghost or demon. They cannot cross a line of eggshells, and eggshell-water will burn them as if it was boiling hot.
Intelligence: Siofra’s intelligence is that of a cunning animal - they can be outsmarted and tricked fairly easily, and similarly are easy to re-direct or manipulate with the right amount of persuasion or punishment.
Bridle: if a bridle is put on Siofra while in their horse form, they are stuck in that form and are forced to obey whoever got the bridle on them until it is taken off. They will become mellow and passive and much like a normal domestic horse - but good luck getting your hands anywhere near those fangs.
Notes:
Scars translate to all animal forms, but not human ones.
LOVES raw honey, milk and any kind of meat, but is particularly fond of ham and duck.
Frightened by whips, especially the sound they make.
