I got super addicted to Portal (both versions) this past month (I know, super late, hahaha) and ended up trying to design a human version of her.....just for fun.
These are just speed paintings. They're all done on mostly one layer.....which isn't something I do a lot, but I'm getting more used to it...i find it's actually faster not to worry about layers and stuff....
All done in painttool SAI
time: around 2-3h each. getting faster yay <3.
Please, this is only for fun, so don't say anything like "this isn't how she should look!" or anything silly like that

I actually can't choose I think they're all cool. Luv to see them all finished. The top one has more of a strait up I'm going to kill you look where as the other two are a bit more seductive.

It's really cool on it's own... But if I tried to humanize GLaDOS, I'd draw her as a fat old lady... Because that's what she sounds like... No offense to the voice actress...

It's not really who she used to be but actually that the mind of that girl was programmed into her because that's what Aperture's crazy CEO wanted before his death.

Also, everyone's free to imagine anything they'd like when they hear a voice. That's the cool thing about not allowing the viewer to have a very clear image of the person the voice comes from.

I just thought I should suggest you'd look up Ellen McLain - the real voice actress for GLaDOS... I just did and I've learned so much.
She also voiced many other games by Valve and apparently a fan once drew one of those characters and it became official... Maybe your humanized GLaDOS could meet recognition the same way.

I like the appeal of the top, the perspective of the middle, and the personality of the bottom.

I really like the composition in the 3rd one, as well as how GLaDOS' character is portrayed in it; it's like a combination of the first two images where she is formal and sexy, but together in the same image and a lot more dangerous.
It's more active as well because she's not centered, and the eye moves in a figure 8 around the image (the effect is lessened on the top; if you choose to finish the third image I'd suggest completing the top loop there with either more wiring or even the light... to keep the eye locked on GLaDOS as you look up and down her figure.) I'd also suggest keeping her hair semi-transparent like it appears to be in your sketches - it just feels enchanting to look at the wires or the shape of her head through her hair as though portraying there's only a hint of humanity within her. I may be reading more than was intended in that, but that last image truly excites me.

Middle! I love the blunt bangs with her - I dunno why. And just the perspective and everything... I dunno. It just screams GLaDOS better than the others.....

This was a hard decision. At first glance, I thought the first one should be the one that you finished. However, upon taking a careful look at the rest of them, I started loving the second one. To me it fits GLaDOS's character more. I though it would be awesome to see her as this dark amazing being sitting upright in a chair and laughing as she rained hell upon you, I really think the better depiction of her would be more of a fragment of a human being. The second one depicts this best in my opinion, as she is laying down and looks almost sickly. Just the right look for the character she becomes near the end of the game (and I'm talking about Portal 1, I haven't been fortunate enough to play Portal 2

I think you should finish the second one. I like the perspective here because it gives off the whole 'she's the one in charge' feeling because of the fact that she's looking down at us. That's pretty much her personality in the first one lol. In fact, this is how she'd look in my mind while insulting the test subject. Though my only thing is that maybe you could make her look a tad meaner...maybe point the eyebrows downwards. They look a little friendly to me.

If you finish the top one, I'd like to see her head tilted down a bit more with her eyes closed slightly-- it would give it so much more a sinister look.
And the third one, everything below her breasts loses definition and makes her hips look half their correct width. I don't know if you were making her chest face away from the viewer and her hips facing towards the viewer at a downward angle, but that it what it appears to be with a lost twisting in her abdomen.

The first one will give me nightamres. The second on will make me have troubles sleeping. The third one will entertain me. Go with the first one.

I'm gonna be more specific: the pose for the second one is great but I for GLaDOS' presonality, I see her having more of a powerful form and the second doesn't show that. if you changed it to her maybe shifted to the side and her chin or cheek leaning on her hand, then that would be much more powerful.
However, I chose the first one because the hairstyle suits GLADOS much more better, in my opinion

Personally I like number three, probably because her dynamic pose and the light in her eyes gives it a sense of movement that I think the other two are lacking. I like two as well, though, the curves of that full body pose really draw the eyes up to her face and then back down, simply put it's sexier than the first one or the third one. The first one may be my least favorite but that is by no means an insult, it looks like you spent a little more time on it, detailing her face more than the other two since it does become the focal point of the piece. I like it but I like 2 and 3 more.
So because I like both 2 and 3, but I am compelled to vote for the underdog, I say 3 XD

Really good! I like number 2 the best, it looks like shes sitting on a throne. I'm obsessed with portal too and I like to draw chell, though I'm not as good as you because I draw with pencil and paper, and I'm still a beginner.
