Description
Manava are the stone skinned race that are currently in an industrial age in the continent of Czarzemlaw. They are strong bodied and reselient to many environmental conditions, allowing them free range to the more frigid areas of the continent. Though the stone skin gives them such resilence, it hampers their senses and production of vitamin D, thus they create assiting items such as glasses and farm and dry vitamin d rich fruit. Large pores lining areas around the body allow better flow of oxygen and help cool off a Manavan.

This stone skin is not something they evolved however. Many thousands of years ago, the Lorperion empire dominated the tribes of the Maulland and forced them into slaverey. Like they did with all beast of burden, the Lorperor used their sorcerey to modify their stock. They wanted stronger slaves who could work in tougher conditions, thus they cursed the slaves with their stone skin.
For centuries the slaves built hundreds of Lorperor cities and citadels, until the mysterious rebel blessed by the foreign Machine God, Machina, used grand powers to unite the slaves into a single tribe and fight their oppressers. "Manava" came to describe this new race, and they wore it with pride as they went upon a battle scourged exodus to Czarzemlaw.

The greatest advantage the Manava had were the weapons and vehicles developed by the proclaimed "Machine King". No other race possesed fire arms and automobiles, allowing the Manava to clear hordes of foes with effeciency.

Now they stay primarily isolated to their fortresses upon Czarzemlaw, with women as defensive and men as offensive. Since most combat occurs at the borders, female populations are higher in Czarzemlaw, while males are more common upon the Maulland fringe. Tattoos are used to help identify rank, unit, and home fortress a Manava originates from.
