Anyone who knows me knows I'm not a drinker. So, when I made these, it was more off of what associations I make with the drink, and the ingredient list.

Absinthe is sort of a departure of the norm from the idea I originally had with these characters. I had imagined Booze Town to be populated with people who act similar to the drunk outtakes from EMT, but I couldn't do that with this one.

The drink Absinthe has acquired a bit of notoriety and even mythology since it's popularity during the bohemian movement.

It is said to have inspired painters, playwrights, and poets, and some say it's a hallucinogenic. It is sometimes referred to as 'The Green Fairy.' She is a muse, but too many visits from her can be deadly.

She is a poison.

So, I tried to give this turn-of-the-century mademoiselle a more fae-like appearance, and her clothes have the darkly elegant flair befitting this mystery woman.

Of course, this was when she was young. Some say her fine dress is in tatters now, and she probably looks more like Sour Grapes than an ethereal beauty. And, if you know who Sour Grapes is, good for you.
