Alrighty. As promised(?), a remake of my Ancients A Go Go picture from a little over a year ago. This time with Hidekaz style chibis.The positioning of the names are not an indication of their location on the map (otherwise Germania and Carthage would be somewhat off). Also Iberia's mantle is now a shade of Tyrian purple (to reflect Phoenician influences) and fastened under arm instead of over shoulder
Of course these are just the ones I've tried my hand at making so far. At some point I am tempted to extend it to include the Sarmatia region and what lay further eastward. However, I'd have a lot of reading to do before I can get around to doing that. I will also be doing a Hidekaz!chibi for ~Tyche-Pasithea 's Phoenicia in the near future because really, you can't miss Phoenicia. Also poor Magyar who was missed off this time for not getting to the world stage until some time later.
On that note, maybe I'll do a medieval map some time soon.

Slav wasn't a nation/region to my knowledge, so I'd have trouble making a character for it. I have Kievan Rus' down as the father of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus

So, there was no Slav? Really? Oh yeah, who cares about the biggest nation in Europe... (yep, Slavs are majority in Europe).

You seem to have completely misunderstood me here, so allow me to clarify myself: First of all, at no point did I say Germania was a nation - Germania was, however, a defined geopolitical region (hence why I said nation/region), as mapped by the Roman empire. I'm also not denying that the Slavs existed or played a large part in European history, just that there weren't any geopolitical areas to my knowledge that were specifically defined as Slavic at the time. I apologise if I caused any offense, but what has been seen in Hetalia thus far has been based on these definitions, and I was attempting to keep my original characters as close to the ideas laid out in canon as possible.

True, I can agree that the Wenden would work as an ancestor / parent to the modern Slavs, but I am mostly going by provinces / regions as defined by the Roman Empire. I should probably make this clearer in the description as I seem to have unintentionally caused some misunderstandings, heh.

Sorry I don't mean to keep suggesting things since I know it takes forever to do even one OC but I was bored and thought of other possible people for the ancient OC's
I was just thinking it would be interesting to see a Sicily OC, poor guy getting torn between Rome Greece and Carthage for so many years, war torn after the Punic wars.

Ah..me too, actually. I took and Ancient Mediterranean Art History class, and I really sympathized with Dacia.
There's some great stories too. Like how Dacia hid its riches under a river so the Romans couldn't find it. Clever. Dacia wasn't really know for much except being the main producer/exporter of pottery in ancient Europe, and having lots of gold/treasures that the nobility had. That's why Rome was after them for so long but wasn't successful until the cruel emperor Trajan (who by the way was from the Spanish province, not rome) finally defeated them all and killed off every last Dacian. Apparently.
That is the extent of my knowledge.
