For me it is One Republic.

You want to always do the right thing but don't want to lie or hide when you do it.
It is my spirit and my fire.
It what keep you going and your gears keep turning.
Just to keep on living till the music hit it last beat.
And the shields itself are made from other songs that means a lot to you and or experience through life.

But no two people have the same core or shield to help them progress in life at all.
Just like no one have the same face.
And no one will share the same face.
Even if you are a twin or a clone you will still end up different.
From the path you take and the experience you make will end up all different.

And just like that you have built a define wall and core that represent you for all eternity.
