Description I just drew this today. It isn't finished. It's kind of a study of the female figure, for me, 'cause although I do drew people and usually females, I don't draw anything but their faces, for the most part. So this is practice for me. I tried to draw the arms and legs in positions that would make them less difficult. I've done bending legs and arms before, so what came to my mind when I drew her right arm, the one upward, was why not draw a dancer? So this is the beginning of a girl practicing for her dance class.
I decided I would even attempt to shade it, even though it's hard enough drawing it without shading. I even tried to draw the wrinkles in the tanktop by putting on a tanktop and looking at the wrinkles in my shirt. Of course, this girl isn't a model after me, but I'm using myself as reference when I really need it.
So far, I'm pretty proud of this. Of course, her left arm is too short, too thick, and that hand is ick, but the rest of it, well, I surprise myself. Considering that I rarely draw people from the neck down, I think this is pretty good, for me. The legs were easy - for some reason I find drawing legs easy - but that left arm was really hard. I fixed it a bajillion times.
Anyway, I'll post the finished product when I'm done, but for now, this is it. Please comment, I would love to know your thoughts on it.
