Description
Sometimes I wonder what this town will feel likeonce you've gone, with your little suitcase all packed.
Oh, you'll get your coffee from some place else
and you'll have to do your laundry at a laundromat.
And every night when you lie down to sleep
I'll be here, wondering if you're missing me.
Maybe I won't be able to close my eyes
and maybe I'll forget where the kitchen is.
Maybe I'll never eat anything again,
maybe I'll rearrange my room
(but it still won't help).
Maybe I won't be able to sit still at all,
because you feel like home to me.
'Cause when I have you in my arms
it feels like no other place on Earth.
And when you speak, I couldn't care to hear
anything more important than your exclamation of the weather.
Oh, 'cause when you smile I feel at peace.
(If I cry, would you hold me?)
Because once you've stepped inside,
this house feels more like a home.
