More Bug Fables OC concepts, co-created with my partner! Part 2/2
This is Nim - or rather, that’s the name he goes by these days. He’s a bullet ant who managed to land a position in the Ant Queen’s personal guard for his exceptional fighting prowess. During a mission, an... incident occurred that separated him from the Queen and rendered him unable to speak, which he feels completely at fault for. Unable to face the Queen for his mistake, he hides away in the underground and becomes well-known in certain circles for his skill as a truly silent assassin, earning him a rather dangerous reputation.
At some point, he’s tasked with hunting down a certain group of enemies in a desert area - he takes the job for free as he has a personal vendetta against them, and Team Serendipity just so happens to be investigating this group as well. After helping them in a battle, Nim decides to join them on the grounds that they share a common goal. Again, it’s a very condensed version of the whole story - it gets a lot more complex than this!
Being mute, Nim has to find other ways to get his messages across. Somehow, Sylvie of all bugs is the only one who can understand him perfectly. I just think it’s hilarious how the small, shrinking violet of the team is able to flawlessly communicate with the rough-edged, sharpshooting assassin - who isn’t really coldhearted as he appears, he’s just been through a lot - when everyone else cannot comprehend why this bug is flailing like a weirdo dkjfgk
